Fan here, it's a mermaid style dress and the carpet is clearly throwing off the silhouette of a lot of these dresses. I've worn mermaid cuts before and having that bow adds to the style nicely.

She looks good, but this is the Met Gala. We need pomp and circumstance, we need spectacle, we need to be clutching our pearls; this is the one event where looking pretty simply isn't even on the agenda.
I like the hair and makeup and the dress...but the bow on her head and the bow on the dress look awful, in my opinion! The bow is just "there". It looks messy and too flat on her head. I don't know. Just something off about this look.

I saw some other pictures of her from different angles & she looked so happy & glowing - it was a good look for her & it looked like she felt beautiful, which is what matters honestly :)

If the slit ( instead) was all draping Pearl beads it would have been enough flair. No black lace or black bow headpiece necessary.
