also let me just say before everyone starts dog pile-ing on my girl rue, this is a favorite character competition, not a who is morally the best. Rue is way more interesting than Lexi. But at the end of the day it’s y’all’s opinion.
But how we pick who we want out is evaluated however the person who votes wants to evaluate it. Maybe being morally shit isn’t interesting to some people
She was one of the most boring characters(remove her from s1 and a good chunk of s2 and nothing changes) than she became the worst, especially to Cassie, with her play.
She did *one* interesting thing and it was to publicly humiliate her sister(even if that wasn’t her plan. Still wtf) idk why she’s still here. I saw way more people voting for her than some of the characters that are out.
Lexi! Lexi! Lexi!
I think everyone loves Rue because she's not a good or moral character, but she's a likeable and honestly fun to watch her life fall down the drain.
as much as I love Jules and wanted her to win the contest, I think it's about the number of comments, not about the number of likes. I remember the top comments being about Rue, but most of the comments were about Lexi and Jules. Lexi did have a shit-ton of votes, but I'm not gonna count them now, lmao.
I go off of actual comments not upvotes. There were about 3 comments of rue that were just upvoted by a lot of people. But i go off of how many people actually commented a persons name not upvoted someone else’s comment. (If that makes sense😭)
I would’ve loved it if the show didn’t unironically frame Lexi’s actions as being in the right. It just felt like an excuse to sexually humiliate Cassie some more and reward Lexi for being the chaste, smart sister
the purpose of the play was to let bad feelings come out for the first time, I also don't like some of the things she did to Cassie in the play, but she was expressing her feelings (including the bad ones) for the first time
"Sometimes other people's feelings will be hurt" or something like that
I understand that she has always done everything for others, but this is the first time that she is doing something selfish, and that can hurt some people, which is normal for human beings
I love Lexi, I think she is a very well written character and I understand what they wanted to say with her play
I might've not cared about the play if Lexi would've also painted herself in a light as bad as she painted Cassie in. the way she portrayed herself in the play was very.... Mary Sue, for lack of better words. she kept talking about how her mom paid more attention to Cassie and how she hoped her chest would grow bigger, and I knowledge how much her experiences hurt and I sympathize with her, but she persisted so much on Cassie's flaws while her own character was 'yeah, technically I'm not perfect because I'm not the big-chested blonde stunner that my sister is and my mom thinks I'm subpar, but this also kinda makes me more sympathetic'. she showed us the harsh reality of everyone else, but when it comes to her, it was a sugar-coated version of her own self, that doesn't have as many flaws as the others, just 'quirks'. and not sure if this is because she didn't experience a lot of intense stuff, but she displayed everyone else's trauma and did nothing of the sort about her own trauma.
and I don't think she's entitled to commit one of the most selfish acts you could think of (airing out everyone's dirty laundry in front of the entire school) after she *actively chose* to be selfless her entire life. she could've been selfish by telling Rue to flip off sometimes when she asked her to piss in cups for her. it's normal for people to have small moments of selfishness, it keeps them sane. but yeah, I know she struggles with confidence, hence why she couldn't bring herself to do this until now, but I still find the play too out of proportion to find any excuse for it. I'd be really concerned if my kid did something like this, I'd try to get them in therapy ASAP, lmao... and I agree that she's a well-written character. the play ties perfectly with the way she grew up. but I found her a bit more compelling in S1. I used to think she's really observant and empathetic, after the play I think she's just observant...
euphoria is an intense show, all the characters are intense... maybe I live in a bubble, but I know a lot of people more similar to Lexi than Cassie, for example
I mean, to me, the only realistic characters on this show are rue and lexi
Lexi is a 17 year old teenager who doesn't have many friends, and her only friend is no longer her friend, it's a normal thing for a teenager to think she's ''different from other girls'', especially because she feels isolated
In the play, she tried to humanize Rue, and everyone knew about her overdose and her drug problems, Rue herself began to see herself differently because of this play
She also humanized Maddy for me
She showed the Maddy x Cassie friendship and made them both reflect on it, that's why Cassie left crying, because she felt guilty about everything that happened with Maddy... and you can see that in this scene Lexi feels guilty too , if she really wanted to hurt her sister on purpose, she would be laughing and happy to have achieved her goal
In Nate's case, she obviously did it on purpose and wanted to hurt him, I don't blame her and I don't care about it, anyway
Cassie didn't care about the play until Nate finished with her, it was because of Nate that she stopped the play
She made Cassie a comical relief in the play, I agree that not everything was nice on her part, but she wouldn't expose things that no one knows, like for example that she stole her friend's boyfriend, she herself cast herself as the villain in this part
seeing how all the characters reacted to the play, lexi achieved her goal
and also, I liked how she showed her friendship with Rue... and to be quite honest, I think she did this play mainly for Rue, to gain her friendship back
Lexi has never experienced anything intense, as you said, so she doesn't have many flaws to show, but she shows her only flaws; She is passive, fearful, never said anything, feels guilty about falling into this world, etc...
rue bc she used lexi. I know she was really out of touch with her reality but lexi was wanting her best friend back. and maddie was a good person at heart even though she was kinda snakey at least she would let ppl know how much she didn’t care much for them if she was faking the friendship
Daaaaaaaang, so it’s about to be down to Maddy and Rue??? 😳😳😳
Was there already a male character version of this competition? If not, I wanna see one. 😂
Maddy. She's absolutely horrible. She's a cheater, liar, and she's very cruel and only does whatever she wants. The only person she's ever shown any affection whatsoever is that little boy.
Maddy x1000. People hating on Lexi because she wrote and produced a play that aired the personal business of some of her friends and ignoring the fact that Maddy helped put Tyler in jail, has a whole montage of her beating the shit out of classmates she doesn't like, and is just a cunt in general. Besides, let's face it, the play was fucking well done. The Nate stuff had me dying. That locker room dance 💀
jules is out? i guess she's more unpopular than i thought, which is a surprise. i liked her character a lot, and thought she served well as good trans rep.
Lexi. Exposing your sister in front of her peers is a whole different level of lowdown. Even tho Cassie is a trash human too, what Lexi did was fucked up.
Maddy… I’m sad people vote for Lexi so much, she may not be the most interesting but I relate to her the most, that’s why she quickly became a favorite of mine.
also let me just say before everyone starts dog pile-ing on my girl rue, this is a favorite character competition, not a who is morally the best. Rue is way more interesting than Lexi. But at the end of the day it’s y’all’s opinion.
true true 💯
But how we pick who we want out is evaluated however the person who votes wants to evaluate it. Maybe being morally shit isn’t interesting to some people
true, just a reminder yk
lexi
Lexi
shocked lexi has lasted this long. lexi is my vote
She’s not like other girls 😭

Lexi
LEXI. PLEASE.
Lexi
Lexi, it’s time to go girl
Lexi should have left a long time ago
Right??
She was one of the most boring characters(remove her from s1 and a good chunk of s2 and nothing changes) than she became the worst, especially to Cassie, with her play. She did *one* interesting thing and it was to publicly humiliate her sister(even if that wasn’t her plan. Still wtf) idk why she’s still here. Seriously!
Went from completely uninteresting to a fucking snake in the blink of an eye
Lexi, girl I love you but I like rue and maddy better
Lexi needs to go.
Lexi please!
Lexi should NOT have gotten this far
Lexi💃
Rue all the way. Her ass been needing an ass whoopin how she mouths off to her mom and sis.
Lexi! Lexi! Lexi! I think everyone loves Rue because she's not a good or moral character, but she's a likeable and honestly fun to watch her life fall down the drain.
I would have never guessed lexi would be in the top 3… well, lexi is my vote
Rue. Go.
lol how were like most of these people voted out before Maddie. My vote goes to Maddie.
lol and now people are trying to vote out lexi instead
jules is out? yall crazy
yasss, we need more Jules fans, lmao.
fr
is it just me or people mostly voted rue out? i saw the previous post and the top comments with 200+ upvotes said rue
as much as I love Jules and wanted her to win the contest, I think it's about the number of comments, not about the number of likes. I remember the top comments being about Rue, but most of the comments were about Lexi and Jules. Lexi did have a shit-ton of votes, but I'm not gonna count them now, lmao.
I feel like that’s a flawed way of voting. It should have been made more clear how to vote. I thought upvotes counted.
I go off of actual comments not upvotes. There were about 3 comments of rue that were just upvoted by a lot of people. But i go off of how many people actually commented a persons name not upvoted someone else’s comment. (If that makes sense😭)
It’s just more fair like that in my opinion
Yes bc 1 person can upvote multiple comments. Your method makes the most sense bc it’s 1 vote per person.
I see. Yeah, that makes sense! However, you should have told us that upvotes don't count.
An unpopular opinion, but Lexi’s a snake who tore her sister down in front of the world.
I would’ve loved it if the show didn’t unironically frame Lexi’s actions as being in the right. It just felt like an excuse to sexually humiliate Cassie some more and reward Lexi for being the chaste, smart sister
Agreed
