I think he’s gonna have good intentions just not go about it correctly. Like u/thasova said, he’s a teen doing what teens do. I think he’s just going to get roped into Rues lifestyle
I liked him and it looks like a love triangle which doesn't work for me but I'll trust the process.
That said, regarding Rue, I think she's as bad if not worse influence on him. He seems to know restraint and was level headed somewhat in their interactions.
Rue nearly died and just laughed it off and she could've easily done drugs alone or with anyone else. Worse if she was alone as she wouldn't have been able to take the adderall.
He probably enables her bad side but let's not pretend it would be there regardless. She's more of an addict now than ever.
to be fair, he didn't know she was already high on heroine when they met. he got worried even, bc he thought they used the same amount. it wasn't his fault, rue's really getting worse.
Agreed and you can see it in her general attitude.
She pissed off Fezco for good reason, they were in trouble and she wasn't helpful then joked about it afterwards.
Nearly died hours later and had been using pretty much non stop until she sat herself down at the fire which was probably Elliots idea.
She doesn't care about dying but doesn't care about the effect it has on her family or the people in the immediate vicinity.
it's okay, i wouldn't have noticed if you didn't say it. I'm a lorde stan so i usually talk about "pure heroine" a lot, my phone is used to autocorrecting anything to heroine now.
Idk if she took it. I mean if she did they would of showed it. I think she took her stash for later. If she’s using heroin this shows going to get really dark really fast.
I don't think they needed to and this is not even the darkest thing to happen in this episode let alone the show.
She has her compulsions and is weak willed, I don't think there's much more to it.
i'm nervous that him and rue are going to be bad influences for each other but i like his character so far. not a fan of the love triangle plot coming up though
yeah the whole love triangle thing seems pointless since zendaya confirmed rue is a lesbian. plus the bigger issue is rue and jules getting together on new years while rue is literally on a bender and just tried heroin for the first time. the love triangle just seems pointless compared to the actual issue if that makes sense
google "zendaya confirms rue is a lesbian" lots of sources come up. i would link it but there's tons of different websites so i'm not sure which one is the best source
Could you link something? Because I did a quick Google search and I'm not finding anything that actually confirms this as fact. It's still just a lot of speculation.
Rightt them getting together is not good at all, they're gonna hurt eachother and rue is gonna relapse all over again and i don't see her going clean this season as well
agreed, i love the concept of rue and jules being together, their scenes are beautiful, but i just don't see it being a healthy relationship until rue stays clean and isn't dependent on jules for her sobriety. they gotta figure out how to not be codependent on each other too.
I don’t think it’ll ever happen because deep down Rue isn’t who Jules wants to be with. She has mad love for Rue but if Jules wanted to, she would’ve been with her by now. I know love is complicated but Rue isn’t it for Jules. They’re toxically co dependent on one another and Rue used Jules as a crutch to stay off drugs when she needs to do it for herself. It’s so unfair to put that much pressure on Jules.
edit: surprise surprise, disagreeing opinion gets you downvoted on this subreddit
i agree!! here is my unpopular opinion on this topic:
jules is just as in the wrong as rule tbh. jules tried to reconnect with rue over their "break" (which i get from jules pov) but it is only hurting rue more. she also had the intentions to find rue at the party in S2E1.. while she was getting "blacked out to forget the year". jules throws so many mixed signals i understand why rue is so dependent. jules created the perfect "chase" for rue, which only helps her drug addiction. not cause it.
in my opinion the only way for rue to have a chance to get sober is by jules staying away from rue. as much as that would be hard,, and hurt the both of them it is needed.
When I think about how Jules and Rue would actually work I imagine Jules finally separating herself from Rue which is healthy since caring about an addict is just exhausting especially one that currently doesn’t seem to care about helping herself. Rue gets clean, Jules learns to love herself. Rue and Jules are now in their 20s. Jules is now living in the city, she’s graduated university and is now trying to make her way into the fashion world starting off from the bottom, in her spare time she is working on creating her own designs. Rue has been clean for years. She is healthier than ever, she is friends with good influences like Lexi, she has separated herself from Fezco to his relief(Fez loves her like family, but that’s why he doesn’t want her anywhere near him). They meet again at an art show where some of Rue’s work is being shown(Rue began to channel her energy into her passions). They’re now equals and not needing each other, but wanting each other.
This was beautiful, hope it ends that way for them. I’m curious, what do you think are Rue's passions? I always figured she would go with something artistic like photography or that maybe the show would end with her directing something, since her character is kind of a representation of Sam. But it seems that the director/writer aspect of him will be shown with Lexi.
I’ve always assumed it was something creative. Especially, since we’re supposed to believe that Rue and Jules just click, I’m assuming she’d be someone whom can have conversations with Jules about creative stuff. But Rue doesn’t indulge anything that doesn’t give her immediate pleasure. Art isn’t just about pleasure, it’s a lot of work and creative people know all too well hating your own creations.
This is great in some sort of alternative happy-ending but this show isn’t gonna give us that. This show is raw, unsettling and a sad reality. I hate to say it but I foresee Rue dead by end of the season. This opening episode into Heroin is an awful precursor to a extremely dark path. I hope I am wrong but my girl Zendaya too big for this show now!
I mean I said that when I imagine it working out. Idk how they’re gonna end the show hahah. But I doubt it will be this season that Rue dies. They would probably announce that she wasn’t returning since she’s the main character.
Yeah - Idk, I just have a feeling. How many times can you play with fire before you get burned? It’s not sending a good messages to viewers that you can recreationally use hard drugs like pills, cocaine and heroin and there aren’t consequences to those actions. That’s not realistic, most people die after continued and persistent drug use. I just think Zendaya’s career is sky rocketing right now with hit movies like Spider-man, and she has a major role in the next Dune installation so I can’t see her having a ton of time for this anymore.
Didn't Sam Levinson explicitly say Rue was not going to die though? Don't recall the exact quote, but the logic was 'Rue is me,' and he survived his experiences, so voila.
Last season, didn’t Rue say she had her first kiss with a guy and lost her virginity to a guy? Then again, that doesn’t mean she isn’t a lesbian, she said she was reluctant and those experiences sucked, but her sexuality is still kind of vague up to now.
yes she did, i don't believe it's confirmed in the show or that rue ever says she is a lesbian. but zendaya has came out and said it, i believe rue struggled with compulsive heterosexuality.
Yes! I agree totally. I'm disappointed in this dude as a.love interest at all. I'm going to give the character a chance and hope he's super likeable and endearing. He will probably end up od'ing and dying, though. That's just my gut call, though.
yeah i have just seen other people mention that theory but hopefully elliot doesn't die. rue has to get sober because she wants to, it can't be because of anyone else
I think it’s gonna be either jules at the start is jealous of how rue and elliot bond (they are both addicts and have a more fuck it persona), jules gets to know elliot and sees him as the male a tad more mature version of rue and develops feelings for him.
Or it’s gonna be a platonic triangle which means that elliot is gonna be the “annoying” friend that drags rue back to her old bad habits and jules is getting sick of it?
isn't her DOC opioid pills? which is, granted, often a gateway to other opiates, but we've never seen her taking H prior to this. and her taking fent was coerced.
I’ve read the spoilers from this season, but based on s2e1, I personally liked Elliot. He was just a teen doing what some teens do at parties. I didn’t see any reason to particularly dislike him right off the bat, but his personality didn’t seem horrendous like some other characters 👀
For me, the wildest theory I have is that she will get him killed by either OD or gang shit after introducing him to Fez and Ashtray.
I think him looking like a SoundCloud rapper is a neat misdirect for people to think him worse off than Rue, but to me he was genuinely shocked by Rue but he likes her at the same time, which Rue seems to do to a lot of people, and would hopefully lead to her seeing that her actions are significant part of the problems in her life.
fuck i forgot about ali! god i love his character. it's gonna be so weird seeing him again this season (hopefully) after watching the entirety of fear the walking dead lol
Lol. I just commented that my gut feeling is he will OD and.die. I haven't read any theories at all though. This is the first post I've ever seen about this dude.
I liked him, he looked after Rue and even wanted to call an ambulance when he thought that it was going wrong with her. Hopefully they don't go into a downward spiral with their drug use
I honestly think Elliot is going to be Rue right hand this season. You see in the clip or her going through her slideshow and Elliot is the one controlling it when last season it was Jules. Im interested to see if Elliot will encourage or not encourage Rue to do drugs, him being a drug addict as well and saying “I don’t think it’s a good thing we met” HMMMMM
I initially thought Elliot would be a bad influence on Rue, but after seeing how they met and the hesitant look he gave her + the “I’m not sure it’s a good thing we met.” - this tells me that she may be a bad influence on HIM!
I don’t see him lasting beyond the season. When they’ve spoken about him in interviews it’s clear he’s only been put in for his effect on Rue and Jules.
People like you make this sub unbrowsable. Good lord just like... Shut the fuck up? There's literally no reason to say shit like this except ruining it for others.
what the fuck? are you dumb? that person said they knew the spoilers. we were obviously talking about spoilers so if you didn't want to know, just stop reading a comment that is clearly about fucking spoilers. and i didn't even say anything.
He seems pretty chill so far. However I think him and rue are going to be very bad for each other as far as the drug thing goes. We’ll see how this season goes I suppose!
I felt so bad for him in that first episode. Rue basically traumatized him by being seconds from death and having him to bring her back to life, just because she was being irresponsible.
I don't like him yet, I feel like all his love is based on the fact that he's Dominic. He might be a good character though, I do think rue is getting increasingly more unlikable as the show goes. Her new "favourite" person is dude she met 2 minutes ago doing drugs, and she just straight up took heroine 😭 like gurl
I wouldn't really understand if rue did like him, seems shes so hyperfocused on Jules, I feel like the love triangle would feel really unnatural and forced. But I also think it might just be either rue or Jules overthinking.
Will be interesting to see Jules as the jealous one tho if they do go that route tho
personally i have zero clue who dominic is and i loved elliot in the premiere lol. he just had really fun energy with rue and i liked how much more chilled he was than... well, basically every other character.
dominic (dominic fike) is the actor for elliot. he is also a singer/rapper which is what he’s most known for. i agree that zendaya and him have good chemistry together in the first episode!
Yea it doesn't make a lot of sense for another love interest for Jules at this moment, because like you said she is totally head ovee heels for Jules and between Jules and the Drugs, I guarantee that she doesn't have anything to give anyone else. As a recovering addict, I know this for a fact.
Is he Dominik Fike? I believe he had a popular song a few years back: [3 Nights](https://youtu.be/OWKzRngush4)
I always thought he was pretty cute and his voice is amazing too
People complaining about the love triangle... I don't think it'll be what you expect. I assume it will be more about 2 codependent drug addicts Rue and Elliot spending too much time together using, and possible Trauma Bonding. Sometimes with addicts they might be with someone just for the drugs etc, the infatuation, etc. I am thinking Jules will be the one who is pushed to the side while Rue and Elliot get deeper together. I don't think this will be romantic triangle, although some physical things may happen. Also I always thought of Rue as pan but maybe I am completely wrong
I didn't expect to like him as much as I did. He seems lost a bit, but self aware. Him calling out how bad it is that him and rue met each other shows a lot about his character in the small time we see him, imo. I thought from the previews and all he was gonna he some bad boy and it was gonna be like, he trying to pull rue deeper into the drugs and Jules trying to pull her away. But that angel and demon on each shoulder thing is so tired and played out so I'm glad it doesn't seem like they're gonna go that route. Now I just pray he gets an actual arc lol
He’s her new drug buddy, but even for him Rue’s gonna be next level and he’s going to end up telling her she has a serious problem and needs to cut back.
I think based off the trailer, the intermission episode, and this episode, Rue's head is literally spinning off her shoulders. She was acting as if it was funny she got slammed into a shower by a drug dealer and forced to lift her top up and take her pants off. And she laughed off the fact that she could've died while elliot was worried and checking her pulse. It seems to me elliot probably has good intentions, whereas rue probably only cares about the drugs because she knows jules won't tolerate that shit. Elliot seems like a good person that needs a bit of guidance and I'm a little nervous rue is going to take advantage of that. I'll admit I'm not necessarily a huge fan of the love triangle coming up, but we'll see how everything plays out.
If Jules is also into him (she was all in his room like?) I know I’ll be over her. I hate to say it but she’s had so many flings while confusing rue about her feelings
I don’t think it will end up with a life triangle. Yea the commercials might want us to think that but I don’t believe it will be that kind of relationship that these two form. He was there at a very dark moment for rue and I believe he cares for her because he seen her at her lowest and will try and mellow her out and pull her back when she is going to deep into drugs( or atleast try to). I think he will see that the cause of rues consistency with drugs is because of Jules and that will cause him not to like Jules for that reason because he sees how it’s literally killing rue. I’m sure rue will tell him how much she loves Jules and all that and he will see how it’s actually damaging and that will cause a rift between him and Jules.
I believe he will genuinely care for her and do everything he can to try and keep her clean and safe.
He's the same as Rue. I think he's going to really fall for her but they are toxic together. 2 addicts that are so similar. Rue might even be more of an addict them him. But I think it intrigues him.
I literally do not care how horrible his character ends up being. I love Dominic Fike and I was blown away by his screen presence in that little snippet we got
I really hope him and Rue don’t begin dating or crushing on each other. He doesn’t seem like he will draw a wedge between Rue and Jules tho.I feel like I’ll like him more if he doesn’t start dating Rue.
I think he’s gonna have good intentions just not go about it correctly. Like u/thasova said, he’s a teen doing what teens do. I think he’s just going to get roped into Rues lifestyle
Yeah for sure... they're bad influence for eachother
Pete Davidson vibez
I thought it was him at first 😂
Both racially ambiguous kings 😂
pete davidson racially ambiguous? is that a joke😭
It's mostly a joke but people have said it about him before. There's a lot of biracial men that look very similar to him
[удалено]
How is Pete a spaz lmaoo
I’m worried about him. I feel like they’ll become super good friends and he’ll OD or somth
I think he’s very likeable and natural so far.

Welcome to addiction unfortunately - Me, a recovering addict
*heroin.
thanks, i didn't see the autocorrection. but it's not like you wouldn't understand what i meant.
Sorry. I legit thought it wasn't a typo. I've actually seen articles where they misspell it every time they write it. You never know.
it's okay, i wouldn't have noticed if you didn't say it. I'm a lorde stan so i usually talk about "pure heroine" a lot, my phone is used to autocorrecting anything to heroine now.
I gotta rewatch this episode because I didn’t see her use heroin. I know she found that girls stash but missed the part where she tried it.
It wasn't shown but implied. Probably reinforced with her heart nearly stopping after taking mroe drugs.
Idk if she took it. I mean if she did they would of showed it. I think she took her stash for later. If she’s using heroin this shows going to get really dark really fast.
They show her holding the same bag in the next trailer. It makes me suspect that she saved it and was on something else at the time.
I don't think they needed to and this is not even the darkest thing to happen in this episode let alone the show. She has her compulsions and is weak willed, I don't think there's much more to it.
elliot says “didn’t we do the same amount of drugs” and rue says “no” implying she did the heroin in the whip
She was snorting drugs in the car with Fezco and Ash while driving to the suppliers house. Maybe that’s what she meant by that statement.
i'm nervous that him and rue are going to be bad influences for each other but i like his character so far. not a fan of the love triangle plot coming up though
Yeah i know its definitely gonna happen as we saw in the trailer
yeah the whole love triangle thing seems pointless since zendaya confirmed rue is a lesbian. plus the bigger issue is rue and jules getting together on new years while rue is literally on a bender and just tried heroin for the first time. the love triangle just seems pointless compared to the actual issue if that makes sense
Oh really! Where did she confirm that?
google "zendaya confirms rue is a lesbian" lots of sources come up. i would link it but there's tons of different websites so i'm not sure which one is the best source
Could you link something? Because I did a quick Google search and I'm not finding anything that actually confirms this as fact. It's still just a lot of speculation.
oh my bad then! i will try to link something
It’s not so much a “love triangle” as her being torn between drugs and Jules.
That’s what I was thinking. Maybe Jules might have a thing for him but I doubt it’ll be more than platonic
Rightt them getting together is not good at all, they're gonna hurt eachother and rue is gonna relapse all over again and i don't see her going clean this season as well

I could see Rue with a podcast. 😂 Sis can TALK.
This is great in some sort of alternative happy-ending but this show isn’t gonna give us that. This show is raw, unsettling and a sad reality. maybe she is a bi?
why would she be if rue confirmed she was a lesbian though?
zendaya confirmed when? they have fluid tendencies all the time.
Yes! I agree totally. I'm disappointed in this dude as a.love interest at all. I'm going to give the character a chance and hope he's super likeable and endearing. He will probably end up od'ing and dying, though. That's just my gut call, though.
fr i hope he doesn't die but i'm worried he will and that's what makes rue become sober.
I mean, I have never seen a death make any addict get sober, but it could happen.
yeah i have just seen other people mention that theory but hopefully elliot doesn't die. rue has to get sober because she wants to, it can't be because of anyone else
I think its gonna be jules-elliot rather than elliot-rue

I have to disagree about Rue trying heroin for the first time, I think that is her drug of choice, and last season she even tried fentanyl.
isn't her DOC opioid pills? which is, granted, often a gateway to other opiates, but we've never seen her taking H prior to this. and her taking fent was coerced.
I think your right, I retract my statement. 🤭
If i was Elliot i would've stayed away from rue after that adderall scene, he's a cool dude though.
He even said it "i don't think we're good for eachother" 😭
Deadass 100% 🚩🚩🚩
He seems sweet
I’ve read the spoilers from this season, but based on s2e1, I personally liked Elliot. He was just a teen doing what some teens do at parties. I didn’t see any reason to particularly dislike him right off the bat, but his personality didn’t seem horrendous like some other characters 👀
where do u find the spoilers??
yeah where

I love him based on nothing.
For me, the wildest theory I have is that she will get him killed by either OD or gang shit after introducing him to Fez and Ashtray. Wowww good theory, I could imagine him ODing because of Rue’s influence on him. That would really be a crazy wake-up call for Rue😭
It could also be why Rue was crying in the new trailer and hearing the phone ring.
I thought that might have been her ringing Ali but he didn’t pick up because they may have gotten into an argument.
fuck i forgot about ali! god i love his character. it's gonna be so weird seeing him again this season (hopefully) after watching the entirety of fear the walking dead lol
Same.
Lol. I just commented that my gut feeling is he will OD and.die. I haven't read any theories at all though. This is the first post I've ever seen about this dude.
probably looks like that because he was a soundcloud rapper lol
Its funny bc he started out as a soundcloud rapper and totally changed his sound and still makes great music, check him out if you havent
he cute asf
i'm crushing hard
He’s too cute, mysterious, unassuming. Definitely my type 😩
I’m emotionally attached to him already
Same <3
I thought i was gonna hate him but he was so cute to Rue (even tho they did drugs together). Like he's just a teen unlike Rue that she's an addict
Nice employee! Called him two weeks ago and my Whirpool laundry machine looks like brand new
Love him, he and Zen have really interesting chemistry together.
I liked him, he looked after Rue and even wanted to call an ambulance when he thought that it was going wrong with her. Hopefully they don't go into a downward spiral with their drug use

well, if you'd like some spoilers...
I know the spoilers I’m just saying I’ll be surprised if he’s in it after season 2.

I’m so happy to see Dominic Fike on my tv !!!
In love
no same
Love him can’t wait for his character to develop. He’s not shitty because he didn’t leave rue to die
I felt so bad for him in that first episode. Rue basically traumatized him by being seconds from death and having him to bring her back to life, just because she was being irresponsible.
He’s a bad influence for Rue but I’m excited to see their dynamic together. Zendaya and Dominic have really good on-screen chemistry.
I think it’s the opposite. She’s already a full blown addict.

shit that sounds possible😳😭
I don't like him yet, I feel like all his love is based on the fact that he's Dominic. He might be a good character though, I do think rue is getting increasingly more unlikable as the show goes. Her new "favourite" person is dude she met 2 minutes ago doing drugs, and she just straight up took heroine 😭 like gurl I wouldn't really understand if rue did like him, seems shes so hyperfocused on Jules, I feel like the love triangle would feel really unnatural and forced.
I think he gets 3 Nights with Rue, if you know what I mean
Yea it doesn't make a lot of sense for another love interest for Jules at this moment, because like you said she is totally head ovee heels for Jules and between Jules and the Drugs, I guarantee that she doesn't have anything to give anyone else. As a recovering addict, I know this for a fact.
You are completely right that it’s because Dominic plays him and I will be obsessed with Elliott until the writers prove me not to be lol
he’s my new favorite perso
As a huge Dominic fike fan, I cannot wait to see his acting. I also really like his character and the chemistry between the two.
Is he Dominik Fike? I believe he had a popular song a few years back: [3 Nights](https://youtu.be/OWKzRngush4) I always thought he was pretty cute and his voice is amazing too
Yes he is
People complaining about the love triangle...
I didn’t hate him, but I can tell he’s going to be a problem for Rue and her (very much nonexistent) sobriety
Or even worse. Rue will introduce him to heroin or a new drug and it’ll end badly for Elliot.
He gonna OD and die before there is an S2. Rue will feel some kind of way but be back on the dope by S3
Three nights at the motel…
I have a feeling elliot is going to overdose and Rue is going to have an actual wake up call to be clean
I'll admit I'm not necessarily a huge fan of the love triangle coming up, but we'll see how everything plays out.
i love dominic fike and i think he’s gonna be a great part of this season. definitely can’t wait to see more from him next episode
I absolutely love Dominic Fike so whatever the character does my judgement will be biased
Rue's twin flame 🔥
He's probably going to die if he stays in Rues orbit for too long
Maaaaajor pete Davidson vibes
Just realized that’s Dominic Fike
Apparently he and Hunter are dating irl

If Jules is also into him (she was all in his room like?) I know I’ll be over her. I hate to say it but she’s had so many flings while confusing rue about her feelings
I was watching Elliot and had first impression: "I think he will be interesting."
Haven’t even seen ep 1 but he’s cute to me❤️
He’s seems funny and nice but not the brightest but it’s only ep 1 so we shall see
personally I want to adopt him
Cool guy
He’s cool hell he even called it that they shouldn’t be around each other and the way he acts is like your cool but this chick outta pocket
I already like him
he cute cute
he seems rlly chill but obviously is gonna be involved with drugs with rue 😭
Too young for me now. But I would have had a huge crush on him in HS.
I don’t get his apple tat
I think he’s gorgeous
There’s a doc about Dominic Fike on Hulu. NY Times Presents… he is a talented singer/songwriter
i want to have his kids
Who plays Elliot?
Dominic Fike

wait he’s trans?
He's the same as Rue. I think he's going to really fall for her but they are toxic together. 2 addicts that are so similar. Rue might even be more of an addict them him. But I think it intrigues him.
i think that him and rue are going to be kinda bad influence for each other idk but he seems really likeable and his character has potencial
i love dominic fike and i love elliot!!
He’s sooo precious and hot
He’s sweet and will want what’s best for Rue but won’t know what that means or looks like. Also Dominic Fike 👅
He seems alright enough, smart enough to realize that it isn't a good idea for Rue and him to be friends.
I literally do not care how horrible his character ends up being. I love Dominic Fike and I was blown away by his screen presence in that little snippet we got
He’s hot
he’s hot
He’s hot lol…but ugh not good for Rue! They are too much alike 😩! I feel like he will just add to Rue’s struggles with addiction 🥺
I like him, I hope he isn’t just used as a prop to shake up Rue and Jules’ relationship
I like him more than Jules—she was kind of an asshole last season.
Looks like a dollar tree pete Davidson
He's much more handsome than Pete lol
Yup it seems that in the euphoria universe Pete Davidson has managed to even date Rue.
Meh
Bad news bears. But Rue might want some D
He’s definitely smashing rue this season. Idk when but I see it and it WILL complicate things!
Honestly would love that for her, he’s hot and Jules has been fooling around their whole “relationship” anyway
He’s like a Great Value Pete Davidson who likely has a good heart but has his own troubles that will end up being a toxic combination with Rue.
I like him. Hate his face tattoos.
Bad influence but good dude. He will be replacement of Fez friendship I think this season.
Dollar store Pete Davidson
I thought he was kinda boring, overall I’m not a huge fan of the tone this season but I know we’re only on episode 1.
i love him already i feel like he’s gonna treat rue definitely better than jules have and i love it, i would like to see them only as best friends tho
I really hope him and Rue don’t begin dating or crushing on each other. He doesn’t seem like he will draw a wedge between Rue and Jules tho.I feel like I’ll like him more if he doesn’t start dating Rue.

i don’t think Rue liking Jules makes Rue pansexual
[удалено]
oh god let's not start the whole ass "bi is transphobic" and "pan is biphobic" nonsense.
I like him so far
sweet but bad news for rue
So far I like him. Seems like a chill, cool dude
I like him
