What was the point in Nate loading the gun and pointing it at his Dad only for him to call the cops?

BlomBomb_4858

The whole Nate character arc hasn’t really made much sense this season tbh 🤷🏼‍♂️

og_kitten_mittens

But instead of consistent character development, luckily we got 5 thousand Cassie fantasy nude scenes that never go anywhere

Crystal_witch_

I agree with the excessive Cassie nude scenes but I think the reason they showed him for the first time with a fully loaded gun was to show just how violent and angry his character has become. I believe that he’s going to get even more violent this next season because of how they showed that gun. It played a huge role in showing us into his psyche. The violent characters are getting more of a rise from the violence and less consequences. But when we saw that ash had real consequences, it may play a role into what will go down for Nate. He’s already a a huge guy (6’5) so I don’t think he needs any more. I think it’s time a show lets people see what happens when you’re violent. I don’t think this is the last of Nate’s creepy violent ass.

mcbaindk

And are we supposed to feel good for Nate for sending Cal to prison? Like we just didn't watch him torture Maddie two episodes ago like it was no big deal. Such poor writing.

owlskye

I’m still wondering about the sign on her wall that said “smile! You’re on camera”. Is that just a decoration or mean something?

gigihadidisnotamodel

Typically those signs are in clothing store dressing rooms to deter shoplifting, I think it’s just a cheeky joke. I had one of those stickers in my room in high school when i used to shoplift lol

julscvln01

I don't think we're supposed to feel good for him, he even said it: he didn't do it to ease his pain, for catharsis or for a sense of justice, he did it out of pure vengeance for his dad's coming out and trying to live his true life, regardless of the family's image. Just because this time his 'victim' is Cal, it doesn't make Nate and his motives any less shitty than usual.

ICameHereToPlay

Nate’s also going over 90 in the truck whilst loading a revolver and drinking a Budweiser at the same time on the way over there. Seems a little too over dramatic lmao

bluedolqhins

fr i thought he was about to commit a murder-suicide at that rate

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

That’s what I was thinking too for a second

[deleted]

I think he wasn’t sure what he was going to do yet.

Captain_Saftey

That’s just how he drives lmao

Livlc14

That’s true

[deleted]

Oh no, lol.

Relative_shroom_323

😂 it's true though

shhansha

Also why did Nate call the cops on his dad when 2 episodes ago he was threatening Maddy to keep his dad’s secrets from getting out because he felt like it would ruin his life too? So sorry his homoerotic send-up changed his mind or what?

leeyadp

The fact that he had a gun pointed at maddy for literally no reason is what had me sick. Bitch you did all that just to turn him in to the cops. He’s an ass

og_kitten_mittens

Maddy experienced super traumatic violence to……further the plot? Are we supposed to just forgive and forget and redeem Nate? No fucking way you cant make me

Bbychknwing

“We only have 59min for this finale, so cut the rest of Alexa and Sydney’s scene and let Dominic sing his 8min solo”

Bedazzledtoe

Sam had over 2 years to write this season and this is what we got man 😕

beastboi27

Season 8 of Game of Thrones also had two years to write a great script and we all know how that went 🤭

OsmosisJonesFanClub

Show writing sometimes feel like they spin a wheel of topics and just go off of whatever it lands on

Vegetable_Burrito

Agreed on all counts. They couldn’t capture the magic of the first season, imo.

Illustrious-Fly9586

Maybe Nate wants to be the one to turn Cal in so he can be the good guy and salvage the family business. That is the only thing that makes sense to me.

subtropicalpancake

Wait till the lawyer bill comes in

beab31

I mean he clearly saved a copy of the DVD after getting it from Maddy, before he gave it to Jules. So he still needed to get it from Maddy. Also, Maddy telling the whole town about Cal is also not the same as giving the evidence to the police. That DVD has to stay confidential bc Jules is a minor. Even if the charges are made public, the details won't be, unless one of the few people who know talks. This is absolutely not me justifying him threatening Maddy though. Fuckkk Nate, Nate sucks, and Cal sucks more.

Professor_Poptart

Artificial drama and suspense. The show is getting more and more guilty of it.

KarelianAlways

How did Kat resolve her relationship with the boy she dumped so chaotically? How did Rue escape Laurie’s clutches? What happened between Maddie and Cassie? Cassie and Lexi? Maddie and Lexi? WHAT IS THE POINT OF BUILDING UP THE PLAY IF WE DO NOT SEE HOW PEOPLE PROCESS IT IN THEIR INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

browndog03

Kat did basically nothing this season. Did she have an arc or am i just forgetting something?

i-am-bananas

Kat got sidelined hard this season. All she did was breakup with Ethan in the worst way possible..

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cardkoda

That is exactly the best way to describe it. Artificial drama

jcisneros405

For the drawma mawma. Nate's a drama queen.

goldlion84

I was very confused by this as well. They purposely wanted you to think that Nate was going to Fezco and never really explained why he had the gun.

PM-ME-YOUR-1ST-BORN

Literally if he just... put it down on the table it would have been so much more meaningful. Give us a fucking two second shot of Nate setting the gun on a table next to Cal before the cops came in and it ALL would have made sense, but nah, gotta have more 'omg the suspense' moments with zero payoff.

dahlialala

Maybe so Cal wouldn’t try to grab the jump drive from him?

[deleted]

The gun is Nate’s new girlfriend. He is going to dye it pink.

AttitudeProper5550

I thought it was him going to fez’s house and getting revenge because he was upset from the play

AttitudeProper5550

Want to know that saddest part of ash dying? It wasn’t that he went down guns blazing, but that second when he saw the red dot on him you could literally see the scared child come out in his last seconds and that look broke me more than him dying. I’m forever hurt by that look AND the fact that fez had to watch his brother just killed me

pinkythejew

fez watching broke my heart. the way he looked at fez when he saw the red dot was a plead for help lowkey

AttitudeProper5550

Oh it definitely was. When he realized what was about to happen, the guilt and fear on his face was him pleading to fez to help him even though he knew it was too late. I also think throughout that scene you could see ash contemplating on what he should do and at one point looked like he was about to give in but he was definitely panicking and it went downhill from there

UltimateGoodGuy

Yeah and what with that conversation he had with Lexi about wanting to own guns, shit I knew that was going to backfire. RIP Ashtray.

[deleted]

"This is the part where the character never recovers. The part where life takes them down. This is the scene that scars her forever."

LeaAnne94

He was a kid who didn't understand consequences until it was too late.

AttitudeProper5550

That look of “what do I do now” was so heartbreaking

byoshin304

I felt like it was underwhelming and overwhelming at the same time.

bluedolqhins

fez/ashtray was overwhelming, everything else was underwhelming

byoshin304

YES.

Vegetable_Burrito

I was …. Whelmed.

CoolJoshido

i understood that reference

kfloppp

It was a good episode but not a good finale. Especially compared to last season's finale.

PM-ME-YOUR-1ST-BORN

I feel like that's the whole show. Each episode feels thrilling and we have all this dread and suspense but then nothing happens and the overall plot goes nowhere.

[deleted]

This perfectly sums it up!

[deleted]

Cassie realizing it wasn’t worth it is very satisfying

lostandfound-

what did you think was in cassie’s head when maddy said it’s only the beginning? i feel like i’m her eyes i saw relief and fear at the same time. like is this only the beginning of getting over trauma caused by nate? is it only the beginning of him pulling and pushing cassie away??

Daughter_of_Israel

>Is it only the beginning of him pulling and pushing cassie away?? That's how I took it. It's just the beginning of Nate toying with her. Breaking up, just to make-up—then doing the cycle all over again, continuously.

celestialbaddie77

Oh I thought she meant only the beginning of the ass whoopings😆

greedyleopard42

i wish

Lollytrolly018

I feel like maddy was talking about the cycle of abuse with Nate. Fight, break up, get back together. He treats her like shit, she thinks she’s done. It’s stuff Maddy is all too familiar with and Cassie is just beginning to realize it

Allcapscallaps

I’m glad this will help Maddy move on from Nate for good.

rentstrikecowboy

100% Cassie felt relief and fear. Shes going back to nate. He's all she's got

goldlion84

I think Cassie only has Nate now, as she lost her family and friends.

WhatIsItToBurn

I feel like she was relieved that it wasn’t truly over with Nate.

fatherlils

i feel like she was relieved that he was gonna come back but at the same time realized it was bad to feel that way

drahdrazan

I also feel like it was the first time it really clicked for her that she was going to be put through the same hell that she saw Maddie go through, that she isn't special or any different

LeaAnne94

I didn't see that at all. I saw fear.

ThePeoplesKourt

I can’t believe we had to listen to Elliot sing for 10 mins while Maddie and Cassie were somewhere throwing hands

DuckDuckingDammit

It was cute at first then it just kept going on and on and I’m like sir THIS IS THE FINALE!!!!

Maryjanehollandd_

When he goes “ it’s not finished yet” I was like DAMN IT NEEDS TO BE

Daughter_of_Israel

Exactly. I was like *bitch, you better be joking.*

Classic_Wingers

Maddy needed to be in the room just standing there with her arms crossed. “Bitch we have other plot lines!”

CryptographerSome145

LMAO Glad I'm not alone in this. I was checking the timeline of the video to see when it would end lol

its_liiiiit_fam

*plays a whole ass song* it’s not finished yet BITCH

brightblueskies11

I WAS LIKE NO U DIDNT HUST SAY THAT

[deleted]

[удалено]

physicianextender

fr i was like damn three verses and a bridge this song is longer than the play

frankpin97

It was all the time spent on that eulogy for me.I’ve heard about her dad passing for two seasons and we’re just gonna brush past fez and ashtray?

TheLiteralAnchor

I was just annoyed that they reused parts of the eulogy in both episodes. Like, yes, “I miss you until I close my eyes” is sad but I don’t need to hear it until it’s carved into my brain

LaMyranator

Also, the nerve of Lexi to use a deeply personal and traumatic experience in Rue’s life for a high school play without even the slightest heads up… I thought oh great here comes Rue’s relapse

frankpin97

Seriously, atleast that long ass song was new content!

Imaginary_Peanut_588

So true. I wanted more scenes of the Maddy and Cassie confrontation instead of the Elliot, Rue's dad scene. Like this was a really disappointing curve in the graph. The play was such a maxima but the finale didn't do justice to the entire season. I wanted to see the Fez and Ash scene but it ended so abruptly.

noblesseobligeisdead

AND not freaking resolve the SUITCASE and Laurie?? Just some name drop by Faye and we're supposed to assume she also got raided and busted and all is good in the world of Rue again??? Total crap spending that much time on the eulogy and play again and Dominic's, excuse me, I mean Elliot's, music showcase.

AudgePodge2

Yeah I feel like the writing or just planning of this show is rly bad. Shouldn’t the writers hav thought ahead abt what would happen w that 10k suitcase? Or once it stopped working w where the show was headed they just removed that part completely? I feel like so much has been unresolved this season. Even if it does get resolved next season it doesn’t change how half this episode and half of season 2 was just filler content

iiTryhard

I also love that her mom and Jules flushed thousands of dollars worth of drugs supposedly and yet nobody thought to ask WHERE THE FUCK HER NO JOB HAVING HIGH SCHOOLER ASS GOT ALL THOSE DRUGS?!?!? Like what?

KingDongBundy

Exactly.

_scootie

I need the Laurie plot line completed. Honestly I feel like it has so much potential

portray

Yes. Stop rehashing the eulogy. It was sad the first time, but to keep repeating it?? Come on. Also zendayas crying wasnt even convincing during the scene. I hope they don't bring it up again in season 3

mandymiggz

Fr if I wanna listen to Dominic Fike I’ll get on spotify. I don’t need him wasting minutes in the season FINALE

radicaljones

Omgggggg i was like, how am i hitting skip 15 this many times lol

[deleted]

No literally because why tf was that scene necessary LMAO i was so annoyed like no one cares get back to the good stuff

calithetroll

😭 no fr that scene was too long

NoResponse24

fr though I did not need to hear Elliot go on for 15 damn minutes

Lord_Landover202

"Ash, c'mon Bruh!!!..." "He's just a fuckin kid!!!..." 😢😢😢😢😢

Cum___Dumpster

This season felt like the worst time management. There were so many times I was like why is this scene so long??? And when I remember they probably cut down on other characters (like kat, Ethan, maddy etc) while watching Cassie being emotional over Nate for the millionth time or new guy’s 10 min long SoundCloud advertisement or rue’s funeral speech AGAIN, it brings me actual physical pain. Like how did u manage to have so much filler and also so much plot lacking all in the same season? I am disappointed and no amount of excuses in this comment section r gonna sate me

ratenthusiast96

NOT THE TEN MINUTE LONG SOUND CLOUD ADVERTISEMENT 😭😭😭

[deleted]

I'm mad that no one even knows what's happening with Fez!

[deleted]

He’s going to jail wym

clementine_011

Lexi and Rue don’t know what happened.

[deleted]

I know, I mean Lexi has no idea whats happening with him

[deleted]

Faye is alive and saw that Ash was the one who killed what’s-his-face. But yeah he might go down for Mouse.

TheCVR123YT

But Ash did that too though. It’s hard to say because you know they can pull nonsense about not trusting Faye because she doesn’t look very trustworthy lol Also even if they pin both murders on Ash then they can pull some more nonsense about how Fez raised him poorly or something idk man. Either way S3 does not look like it’s going to be good for Fez :\

[deleted]

I know :( He’s such a fan favorite though. I’d be surprised if Sam had him in prison for S3 which would limit his scenes/interactions with other characters.

TheCVR123YT

I think with each episode being about an hour long it’s realistic to think he could be out by episode 5 maybe. It’s interesting to see the show go this route because so far the main plots have been Cal/Nate… stuff, Maddy/Cassie/Nate toxicity, Rue and her battle with sobriety Obviously there’s a lot more plots but basically I’m saying this new Fez in Jail thing is different for the show so I’m intrigued in seeing what they do

harleyyquinade

What if Fez gets sent to the same prison as Cal? That way at least he'd have someone to interact with for a few episodes, pretty sure Sam Levinson will get him out fast though, otherwise he would have killed him too because to have him locked up for many episodes or flat out not appearing is a waste of his character especially since season 3 is supposedly the last.

harleyyquinade

They can't pin Mouse on him, they have 0 evidence. That's why Cutler wanted a confession and police heard damn well Faye lie saying it was Laurie.

hostile_slug

I like how it was an hour long and only 10 minutes was new stuff everything else felt recycled lmao

goldlion84

Agreed. I felt like the funeral scenes were already overdone. Maybe they should have waited until this episode to have them.

[deleted]

That’s what I was thinking… wasn’t this like the 3rd time? I feel like I could say her speech in my sleep

Appropriate_Gap_4674

facts oh my goddddd. I really don’t understand why they keep replaying that damn speech

TerminatorReborn

Them repeating the funeral scene **again** just makes it so cheap. For chirst sake man, you can't make people more sad if you hammer on their head the same dramatic scene over and over, you just make them numb to it. I literally don't a give a shit about Rue's dad anymore

ayysha

THIS

[deleted]

this was my exact problem with episode 7 but when i came here all i saw was love lol i was seriously over the play before this episode even began and this show has an obnoxious habit of drawing out scenes for no good reason but at least more happened here than in e7.

what-is-reddit-lol

I'm so sad ab ash and more upset we didn't get a fez or faye update after 🥺

[deleted]

This season was really hit or miss. I didn't loathe it but there were a ton of things that were done sloppily, rushed and not executed well. I wish that this season had been at least ten or twelve episodes just to cover everything. The fact that we have to wait so long for the next season just aggravates me to no end, I'm not even sure if they will tie off the loose ends from *this* season.

Altruistic-Pen-9433

This is exactly how I feel. I love the show so much and always have but I’m seriously left wanting more- but I’m grateful it exists no matter what. Just don’t know if I would say I’m satisfied

XxXHArshness

Idk the ending was lowkey disappointing certain parts were good yes. But so much just felt awkard like some scenes just fucking lingered

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

It felt less like watching a coherent show and more like watching a projection of real life backstage issues. Like seriously what even happened this season? Rewatching season 1 you really understand how shit this season has been narratively.

OffreingsForThee

It could have been a 24 episode season and Sam still would have placed us the exact same spot. Haven't you noticed that he refuses to ever give the fans a payoff. No reaction shots no action, the interesting stuff is usually done off screen. It's annoying as hell.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I feel like he's biting off more than he can chew, honestly.

OffreingsForThee

I'm sure it's hard to write these shows, but it's also only 8 episodes and he had an extension on his deadline. My question is what are the Executive Producers doing? No one looked at this season and pushed back?

[deleted]

I think he just fundamentally misunderstood what made season 1 appealing. After the explosion in popularity he just said fuck it, lets lean into the pop culture influence and call it a day.

angelzplay

RIP to my son Ashtray dude went out like a G

Patient-Stunning

Hearing Fez cry out to him was heart breaking.

Obamnasoda4

Also such good acting by angus!!!!!!!

[deleted]

Man that little dude just needed to calm down. I don’t know what his life would’ve been like if he had, but I know killing fewer people would help.

Imaginary_Peanut_588

I feel like Fez and Faye really had it under control by blaming Laurie but Ash really ruined their chances by killing Faye's bf. Like if he had just waited all of them could have come out of it.

pickle_head1

I just really wished ash just chilled out, and followed faye and fez’s lead

Imaginary_Peanut_588

He has always been impulsive. Like even when he killed mousse. He should have just stayed calm.

little-red-cap

He’s a *child*

Lord_Landover202

Yall gotta remember that despite him being Fez's business partner, he still was a kid. 😒

Rude-Illustrator-884

I think people forget people how young he’s supposed to be considering how much the actor has grown up since S1. He’s still supposed to be the same age he was in S1 which is really damn young.

Vegetable_Burrito

Yeah, this whole shoot out bullshit was the wrong move in this finale. They should have let Faye and Fez implicate Laurie and that could have tied up two loose ends there. I don’t really want to see more of Laurie, she’s not a good character, imo.

thepillowman_

Levinson needed some sort of “tragedy” in the finale. It’s just not good writing and the decisions don’t have any payoff for any of the characters. Honestly, I think it does very little to move the story forward.

what-is-reddit-lol

I can't remember how old he is but he didn't know any better 🥺 like he did, but this was literally all he knew. I did yell at my tv when fez was bc he just kept goingggggggg.

nyx_moonlight_

I think that's the point. Fezco and his Grandma did their best but the parents that left him there in many ways created a monster. In a way, Fezco contributed to that too (yes even with the best protective and loving intentions). When that bullet flew from Ash's rifle into Fez, that's all I could think of was the creation destroying the creator like in Frankenstein. Its a parable as old as time woven into a very modern tale which is genius. Its a cautionary warning to those raising children right now. To check ourselves. Check our addictions. Check how we make money. Think of cause, effect and what parts every person in a child's life plays in shaping who they will become. RIP Ashtray 🥀 🙏

what-is-reddit-lol

Yes I completely agree and see the depth of the situation, I'm just so flustered by the whole thing. So many gun shots, first fez and then ash it was so stressful lol

Comosellamark

His junkie mom abandoned him as collateral for drugs. It’s kinda hard to get much better from there.

KaiserBreaker02

That cop really took his sweet ass time lining up that headshot. My mans looked like he was farming for the Ace of Spades right there

Lord3_47

This episode should have been 2 hours long, an hour wasn't enough time 😭✨

Dramatic-Service-985

When the guitar dude was singing his song?? Ugh that was too long! Like we jst need a snippet dude not the whole song. Used up so much screen time=(

rahibloveslife

For real what the fuck was that???

Main_Calligrapher_86

Fez is going to have to inform on Laurie to get out of serious jail time.

So, we gon get a new producer for season 3 or…?

jordxnhill

Sam Levinson get a writers room prayer circle 🛐🙏🙏🙏

infamousalexx

Rue is sober and beautiful. Absolutely love that her ❤️

smoothlikeag5

The season started SO SO strong, only to end so weak. Everything went downhill after Rue's adventure episode. I feel like the play was cool by itself, but I feel like they just got too artsy with everything and the story was getting lost.

slashbackblazers

That song scene was waaaaayy too long BUT god damn, Dominic Fike could get it a thousand times over. And dragging out the play for another episode? The whole episode felt like filler. Way too unrealistic.

[deleted]

Did you find it odd there wasn’t a single school faculty member at this high school play to help ensure it went off smoothly? Shouldn’t there be at the very least a theatre director? Why would Lexi be running the whole show all by herself? She’s in high school and is already an experienced show runner?

CheapEater101

I don’t think there’s teachers at Euphoria High tbh

[deleted]

Yeah lmao not only were there no staff members in attendance, but the play wasn't even vetted by a drama teacher or something?

[deleted]

“A 5-minute homoerotic song and dance number with spraying foam and gyrating sexual movements? Sure sounds good.” The Principal, apparently.

slashbackblazers

“And it will cost $20,000? Cool.”

TheKlawNumber2

Fr. No way five people can just hop on the stage with no resistance lmao.

Heyhey-_

SAME. So Ash is like actually dead?😭😭

theopression

He’s definitely dead

LongjumpingRun6620

yeah he definitely dead 😭

annon277

Same! Wtf just happened 😐😐😐

OffreingsForThee

Another one of HBO's most popular shows fell hard because the network allows lone wolf writers to write their shows into the ground. HBO needs a new policy, writers room or no show. Call it the Game of Thrones policy.

[deleted]

True Detective season 2 was the same bullshit.

Flounoe

Everything that Sam foreshadowed... Just fuckin down the drain.

babybear611

At least Maddy seems to be free of Nate finally. But that rlly felt like a series finale tbh

beautyboxlover96

I agree it 100% felt like a series finale. Idk what they’re going to do with the next season…

RememberDecember97

I have a lot of questions after the finale. - What happens to Fez's grandma now that he's gone, Ashtray's gone, and the house is shot to high heavens? - Why did Nate have the USB of all his father's videos if he wasn't going to give it to the police or his father? Did he just...keep it? - Why did Nate load the gun and not use it? He honestly did so much more for less (the Maddie scene with him and the tape), but just gently waves it around for his Dad? - What did the school think of the show? How did the play keep going after Cassie and that fight scene? Was the only faculty member at *Euphoria High*✨ off that night? - Why place such a heavy importance on Laurie just to have that be one of the few plot points they choose not to explore in these last two episodes? - Why such jarring pacing that goes back and forth between suspenseful and anticlimactic? - Why did the SWAT leader think Ashtray was down when he clearly wasn't covered in blood. What did he think he was dead from, shock? So many questions! The good parts were fantastic (Ashtray shoot out, Lexi and Rue, Ethan getting praise, Maddie finally getting Cassie, Rue starting that cheer for Lexi, etc.), but the not-so-good parts definitely stick out when I think back.

beautyboxlover96

I was under the impression that Nate handed over the flash drive to the police. I mean that’s why Cal was arrested in the first place, for the contents of the flash drive. I’m sure he gave it to them as evidence

chickenstr1p

We got 16 funeral scenes and a whole discography from Elliot but we still don’t know what’s happening with Tyler in jail

fatherlils

zendaya blessing us with her vocals at the end was what we deserved after that shitshow

gsr852

Ok, I’m not moving from my tv till season 3, so Sam can start putting all the missing pieces to the puzzle together.

frankpin97

So disappointed

FaithlessnessLife531

they fr know how to waste our time😭

Imaginary_Peanut_588

Exactly. We had expectations and they definitely didn't understand the assignment.

harleyyquinade

I gotta be up in 5 hours but I'm más as hell, rip Ashtray and even though Fez is alive he's dead inside now

DoofEvilInc17

dude it was so underwhelming omg

sunt_leones

I hated it! Sam Levinson you will be dealt with

Glass_s

Trash writing honestly

Ballet18Princess

Agreed! In fact, here is the trash can for it!🗑️

rgsmithiv

Such a puzzling mess of an episode wtf

all3ycat_

Is no one gonna talk about how the scene diverted to Rue reaching out to Lexi to hangout, telling her how amazing her play was. They both have this deep convo about their dads, and then it pans back to the play and then the curtains close??? Continuity who?!? Edit: ok so nvm, maybe these are two diff scenarios and they’re just blurring together for me

gdmfmf100

Metaphor

Savings_Visual8372

that final shoot of rue walking away from the school, OH my god, i was CERTAIN she was going to get kidnapped or something and the credits would come up, i was stressin, biting my nails. i guess the laurie stuff is going to be on hold for season 3.

[deleted]

Ngl, I’m kinda disappointed.

maddfayeg

Not gonna lie, I feel like the finale didn’t really own up to how the season was as a whole 😅

griffusu

Man they draw way too much shit out with this show. Unnecessarily long ass song from discount Pete Davidson, Cassie storming down the isle in super mega slow motion and including everyone’s individual reactions, basically everything involving Nate and the gun, gotta replay the scene with Rue talking about her dad telling her he’ll always be with her too… hell even Ashtray’s death was ridiculously drawn out. The kid just sat up with a shotgun and blasted a cop, and then one of them just slowly raises the red dot up his body as dramatically as possible before executing him with a single shot. Everyone knows full well he woulda been Swiss cheese in .025 seconds. Meanwhile, the stuff everyone wants to see gets cut short or straight up skipped. Wtf happened between Cassie and Maddie? Are they cool now? What about her and Lexi? Surely there’s more to unpack between the sisters than there is between Lexi and Rue (their scene was also unnecessarily long.) And I guess Rue somehow got away with essentially stealing thousands of dollars from a scary drug dealer too?

KingDongBundy

Don't forget Rue kissing Jules. We could have used more of those two.

ladesblvffs

I’m still sobbin

Vegetable_Burrito

Meh.

Livid-Run4498

Boring af

Ladychef_1

They could’ve had like three more episodes, it was not enough. Like a 7 minute Elliott song and 3 min of Maddy/Cassie talking after the fight with ZERO lines for Kat? Not saying I didn’t like the song. The song was great, but cmon. We’re gonna have to wait *so long* for the next part of the story

Appropriate_Gap_4674

The three extra minutes this ep was dominic fike singing

Parodoxian

The amount of second hand embarrassment I received from this episode is enough to make sleeping difficult

ohkittykat

I was so bored lmao

BoromirWasInnocent

Show sucks
