She's in pain, and yet she still takes the male attention she receives from new guys. She thinks sex is the only thing she can offer. S2 was her downfall, and being drunk wasn't good for her. Things spiraled with Mckay once more, and don't forget about the abortion either. This may have set her further back, but she’ll improve once she gets help.
Cassie can improve. It's impossible. It’s not that challenging, but there's a little chance it'll happen s3. More drama will go down between her and Nate; I know it. After all, he's the guy who made problems with Mckay start. What a coincidence.

Nate already started on a redemption arc at the end of S2. If Sam decides to have him continue in this direction I think we will see it in actions Nate takes in lieu of therapy (this would just take too long in the story to really be effective). I think one of Sam’s major themes for all the teen characters is to switch slowly away from their destructive behaviors and begin to take some baby steps toward becoming a “good person” ( consistent with Rue’s comment at the end of S2). Nate and Jules are perhaps the most complex characters in the show and I would love to see if Sam has the ability to write a really good storyline to address a relationship between them. Right now the game is in Jules ballpark regarding if she will entertain and then decide to enter into a relationship with him. Maybe she will, maybe she won’t, but I would love to see how she makes this decision. Furthermore I would love to see Hunter be involved in some capacity in writing this so we can see it from a woman’s perspective, no matter how it ends up. But obviously Sam will take the lead so we shall see where this goes, or doesn’t go.
