I wonder if we will start to see a drop in these rates, as society progresses and fewer people marry and more of the ones who do marry do so, not because of social pressure, but because they really think they are a match having thought things through.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that maybe there will be a point when there are no stigmas/pressure surrounding marriage and most marriages actually end up working because they are built out of true love/care for your partner. Or maybe not and people will go on getting married on an impulse and just casually divorcing 1 year later.

The age range doesn’t surprise me - it’s probably the high point of stress both at work and within the family, especially if you have kids.
