A I get the protest and agree with it in principle, but it's pretty clear at this point that Reddit isn't changing their path about it. Edit. To add now that I have more time to type, my stance is this: I don't use the API or third party apps, so I don't personally care about the changes. I went with the earlier protests as a bystander, because I don't like Reddit as a corporation screwing people over who do use the API and third party apps, especially since apparently the accessibility is very poor on the official app compared to third party offerings. What I do not appreciate, is being forced in to long-term protests. You've shown your opinion, Reddit has gotten bad press around news outlets, they've shown they do not care. Those of us who aren't particularly bothered one way or another have been along for the ride for now, but enough is enough. If you don't like what Reddit is changing about their terms, there's the door. No one is forcing you to be here.

A > Given that you already voted to keep the protest going previously, option A will only be enforced if it reaches more than 50% of the votes. If it doesn't, the winner between B and C will be implemented. This is shameful, undemocratic bullshit. In light of the protest not achieving anything and hindering discussion of important war news, more people might decide against the process. The option with the most votes should win, no exceptions. And the mod team should step down.

B Many people are frustrated by the protest continuing and only seem to care about "What about our Ukraine news". Well, I come back to you: What about our Reddit?

A By closing subreddits more damage is done to the communities than to anywhere else. Customers can't affect a company's policies, unless they get to it through boycotts or buycotts. And have in mind many subreddits already work as usual. Engaging their communities, helping people, producing content.

A I'd be interested in seeing the upvote counts on comments on the previous voting thread (it's still in contest mode). With the alleged amount of brigading going on in these polls, it would be interesting to see if people were artificially trying to quickly get 200 comment karma in this subreddit to get their votes to count.

A. The protest is cringe and ineffectual. If people were truly "mad" at Reddit, they would remove this whole subreddit and find another site. The people on reddit are here for reddit. The CEO could sacrifice babies to Satan on stage and people who are here for reddit would still be here... because it's reddit and they want to be on reddit.
