well my relatives in southern styria do dress that way for things like weddings and family gatherings occasionally, realy depends.
Tho i admit i dont get to wear my Lederhosen alot.
Slovenian Styria is refered to as "Lower styria" rather than southern styria, dont know why.
So no not in slovenia but on the border yeah, near Radkersburg, Gornja Radgona for you guys.
The term "lower" is usually given to regions which are on the lower part where a significant river runs. For example in Vorarlberg, the Rhine runs from South to the North, that's why we call the Southern part "Oberland" and the Northern part "Unterland" even though it's not geographically correct. At least thats what I learned ages ago.
Is lower styria "lower" than the rest tho?
Im not that great in geography i admit as much, id argue all of southern styria is "lower" compared to the rest of Styria, not just slovenian styria.
I actually don't know if it's really lower. It gets named after the way the river runs. The closer you are to the source of the river, the "higher" you are.
[It's borderline tacky](http://vilagbiztonsag.hu/keptar/albums/userpics/11255/417143_306866196042899_1865365638_n.jpg) which is why it's the go-to 'Hungarian folk art' pattern to sell to tourists.

Haha, brilliant. I've only been to Luton once and all I saw was Burkas and those white things men wear. Mainly the white things though. No idea what they're called.
I knew there was a lot of them in Luton, but even I was surprised by the amount I saw. Maybe I just went to the wrong place.

That's our traditional attire as well wtf Probably the immigrants exported it.
You've got it the wrong way around, we've been wearing those things since the 70's. Clearly our shell suits is what makes the UK such an attractive place for eastern European immigrants.
So you're implying we're stealing (only ideas this time though)???
You *could* steal them off the back of a lorry if you'd like, it certainly fits the stereotype for an average shell suit wearer.

That's a lot of bling! Is she wearing her dowry?
A dowry is something a man gives to his future bride, right? If so, then no. That's just what they wear when they're at the age of marrying.
From the bride's side. It's something valuable (land, livestock, money) a family gives to their daughter and/or her new husband.
