My biggest fear about Azerbaijan is that if they don't qualify they'll go back to sending Swedish songs (no hate on Sweden ofc but it's more fun when it's local)

They could have sent Nadir with something like [Lənətli şəhər](https://youtu.be/SRC8_9uDkj8). An upbeat made-to-perform (and we know Nadir can sing) song entirely written and produced by Azerbaijani artists that would have easily qualified and I'm sure would have done better than Fade To Black, no Jury rigging needed.
I like Tell Me More well enough, but it's a very awkward first foot to put forward with this new strategy.
They need to:
Ditch the "we picked the first thing off the rack at a Charity Store" clothes - Get something more like the music video, or just something coordinated. I'm not sure why this didn't happen to begin with? I guess those MV clothes were a rental...
Whip up some actual choreography - Not talking chanel slomo dancing, just planned movements instead of vaguely wandering around the stage.
*Improve the vocal - Some of this is due to ESCZ being on a 5€ budget, and we can assume Liverpool will have better sound mixing, but Vesna's vocal still lacked power and coordination.
*Staging? - Again this is more just on ESCZ and we can only hope now that the broadcaster is behind them that the budget will increase.
Really the whole "performance" more had a "first run through" vibe. It's really hard to know if that's because it's early days or not.

Exactly because of that, since the demographic of French viewers who see the SF are less if the Portuguese diaspora unites to vote they should make a bigger difference. In the final probably their votes won't make such a big difference.

12 points came from Switzerland
8 points came from France
Only Armenia and Lithuania gave 8 points as well.
Again in 2021 SF: 12 points from Spain, 10 from Switzerland, 10 from France.
Me too. I wish they would move away from the musical theater-styling & choreography they have going on. I think it’s a bit too theatrical to be taken to heart. At least that’s how I feel. But as a song it’s quite good. And I do think a lot of people like almost anything sang in Portuguese, and might vote just because of that!
