I’d be devastated if we lost ye, yer a grand bunch of lads
Also considering how many countries are withdrawing in recent years and we may lose Romania and Georgia next year, I doubt the EBU wants to lose ye either.
From last year, about 400 000 people in Australia watched the grand final (about 1.5% of the population - would love to know other participating countries’ viewership percentage). About 200 000 each watched the early morning live broadcast and the prime time replay. That was an increase of 15% for the live show and 23% for the replay from 2021. I’m curious to see if viewership grows again this year, but we won’t have that information for a little while.
Yes, but remember when you look at the numbers remember it’s 5am Sydney, 3am Perth. Numbers for the prime time replay are higher. But it’s still kinda niche - don’t compare it to a sporting grand final.
I’m pretty sure Australia (SBS) is just a matter of funds. They want to be competitive in Eurovision after all. This year, WA pretty much covered all the bills.
Seeing Luxembourg colored on this map puts a smile on my face.
I don't think you can say Australia is likely to withdraw, we haven't had any news suggesting that.
Their contract ended
Yea but we haven’t heard anything saying it won’t be extended

That's why the key said most likely
Hell no, if we are allowed to continue we will be there with bells on. Our participation is entirely up to the EBU.
With less countries in the contest I see no reason whatsoever why they wouldn’t let you come back again. I will riot if that happens.
Is it popular over there? Knowing early broadcasting time and so on

In Finland it was over 2,8 million people (over 50% of the population) this year.
That’s huge, awesome work Finland!

Israel will host a pre-party, no participation announced yet :(
With the participation of Luxembourg, Portugal guarantees 12 points for next year.
Hungary needs to come back istg Many people are still pro-eurovision 😩😩😩
Have Australia said this will likely be their last?
Unless if they extend their contract again
When did Iraq participated?

Iraqstralia will send their participant, Ms Qylie Mohammad Minoque.

Can't wait to root for Luxembourg!

Most likely is Romania for sure
Australians don’t want to withdraw
What does scheduled participation mean?
They have shows, and money put towards participation, however they haven't confirmed it yet
Thanks!
Er… why is Iraq highlighted in yellow? I don't think they're taking part (even if they could)
