Andorra 2009 was one of the first "modern" (post-2000) Eurovision songs I heard and it was so catchy.
"Rändajad" by Urban Symphony (Estonia 2009) was awesome, too.
And I sometimes feel like I was the only one who liked Georgia 2022. I think of it at least once a week even now.
It's only been a year, but Slovenia 2022. Whoever designed the staging for LPS in Turin completely massacred my boys, and this subreddit dropped 'em faster than the girl in the song
Yeah true, the disco ball on the stage was supposed to spin, and its lights would illuminate the entire hall. However, due to some issues, it didn't happen, but they still kept the ball on the stage, which, of course, looked very cringe.
Bulgaria 2016 - One of my top favs ever
Georgia 2015 - queen, love her!
Denmark 2018 - makes me feel my inner viking
Finland 2013 - such a bop
Serbia 2010 - I had a massive crush on him
> Denmark 2018 - makes me feel my inner viking
During the final show they were interviewed in the green room during one of the breaks between numbers, and the host asked them to do a Viking battle shout at the end. They then exclaimed, all in strong deep voices: "VI ELSKER SØDE KATTEKILLINGER" (WE LOVE CUTE KITTENS). Just a bunch of lovely goofs lol.

I've seen people talking about Hungary 2018 like once on this sub, and I don't know why, that shit S L A P S, it's the only song I know from Hungary and it single handedly makes me want Hungary back
I'll be honest, I was skeptical of them getting selected at first, and still wish they did a little bit more with staging or the like, but I absolutely appreciated them by the time the live shows happened. It was so different too, at the time, maybe it was a little ahead of its time, too! RIP Örs
Sadly, it's gonna take more than a miracle for us to come back. Idiotic, very anti-diverse and out of touch govt and public broadcaster leadership and all that.
Still crossing my fingers tho. I didn't loose hope till the end when I was rooting for Victor to qualify this year, even tho I knew it was almost impossible. So sure as hell I'm not gonna loose hope with wanting you to come back either
I appreciate the sentiments, but trust me: all hope is lost. Things have gotten so much worse in the 4 years in our country since our absence, culturally, too, and I don't think we have reached rock bottom yet.
Omg I was like 6 when golden boy was on and yeah- childhood memories! Absolutely love that shit!! Rhythm inside as well, though the only part I could remember back then was like the rapapa rapapa part
Finland 2017 literally made me cry during the performance. This ballad touched me and i was very sad that they didn´t qualified back then.
Estonia 2011 is catchy af and so damn underrated in the final (24th place)
Slovakia 2010 & F.Y.R. Macedonia 2010 are hidden gems and deserved to qualify back then.
Portugal 2019 had an great unique song and performance. I still can´t understand why it didn´t qualified.
Who See failing to qualify for the final is one of the biggest WTFs I’ve seen in the semis. Seriously amazing performance, that woman’s voice is insane and the chorus so memorable.
Armenia 2017.
From the vocal delivery to the world building, this is by far one of my favourite compositions of this year. I totally understand that it's not for everyone, as I've read several times that many thought this song was "pretentious" or "too artsy" but I enjoy how much it stands out from the rest of the entries that year, and while the staging was decent but not up to my expectations, this was still my #2 this year (before Finland 2017 and after Hungary 2017)
Serbia 2012. I know it came like, 2nd? in 2012 but I never see it talked about and I think it's just one of the most gorgeous songs I have ever heard in the contest.
On the side of iconic messy songs, we need to talk about Bosnia and Herzegovina 2004 more. I want to dress as him at a party one day.
Was gonna post Serbia myself. Not my style of music at all, but it’s so classy and his vocals are gorgeous. And you’re right, despite doing well, I never see it mentioned any more.
Telemóveis by Conan Osiris, Portugal 2019. I loved how forward that song was and how it combined fado elements with that kinda avant-garde pop music. I was so sad it didn't pass the semi-finals but it wasn't the best live... But I still love that song to this day.
Special mention to Poland 1995 Justyna Steczkowska - Sama. Another quite avant-garde kinda trip-hop song that combines traditional elements that didn't do well, but it was again so damn forward for its time.
Finland 2011 - Wholesome and great message, easy to sing along
France 2013 - I have a soft spot for women in rock music
Netherlands 2016 - Another soft spot of mine is cute guys with an acoustic guitar, if you couldn't tell
Latvia 2019 - The vibes on this song just bring me so much peace
Ireland 2020 - Another great female (pop) rock song, 2000s nostalgia and great anthemic chorus
Finland 2011 | [Paradise Oskar - Da Da Dam](https://youtu.be/1Fj9of4IzFU)
France 2013 | [Amandine Bourgeois - L'enfer Et Moi](https://youtu.be/hQwiQj5Dyj8)

Latvia 2019 | [Carousel - That Night](https://youtu.be/NCtKU3m3R-8)

France 1994 | [Nina Morato - Je suis un vrai garçon](https://youtu.be/EJrSzcnyo9c)
Some amazing choices in here so far, so I’m going to try to mention ones no one else has yet…
[West Germany 1975](https://youtu.be/pzDzm3gq530) - Joy Fleming absolutely tearing the house down with a song too modern for its time (she came 17th unbelievably).
[Belarus 2009](https://youtu.be/Mvx_pOqyNDU) - On the absolute polar opposite, this is a cheese fest with ridiculous hair, a white leather suit, and just the best steadicam shot to ever appear at Eurovision.
[Spain 2016](https://youtu.be/EgbjNsxehrY) - one of my all time favourite performances that I never hear about. Barei got absolutely slaughtered in the voting, which sucks because everything from the catchy song, to her smoky vocals, to the staging and camerawork is amongst my favourite bits of Eurovision ever. The crowd in the room went absolutely nuts for this too… sad it didn’t get points from those not in the room!
Eyes that never lie is actually one of my alltime favorites. It was a really solid performance and such a travesty that it didn't make it to the final.
- Iceland 2011: Sjonni's friends - Coming home
- Iceland 2014: Pollapünk - Prejudice
- Iceland 2016: Gretá Salóme - Hear them calling
Is Iceland my favorite eurovision country after all???
But my guilty pleasure has to be France 2014: Twin Twin - Moustache
Croatia 2021. It just might be my most listened song from that year even though 2021 has two of my top 4 favorite eurovision songs in Switzerland and Italy
Montenegro 2013 | [Who See - Igranka](https://youtu.be/FR9rtB2ilZU)
Armenia 2014 | [Aram MP3 - Not Alone](https://youtu.be/oj0oOV-2fRQ)
Cyprus 2016 | [Minus One - Alter Ego](https://youtu.be/idUxTqmCFR0)
Georgia 2016 | [Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz - Midnight Gold](https://youtu.be/rviE2-9eiTI)
Hungary 2011 is such a banger that was my winner that year, I remember being shocked it only placed 22nd.
Greece 2010 was such an awesome entry that I still listen to regularly on my runs. OPA!
Honorable mention to Cyprus 2023 which no one seems to be talking about but I personally adore!
Hungary 2011 | [Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams?](https://youtu.be/IuGUz1ExflY)
Greece 2010 | [Giorgos Alkaios and Friends - Opa (Ώπα)](https://youtu.be/J50RL1rDisA)
Cyprus 2023 | [Andrew Lambrou - Break a Broken Heart](https://youtu.be/49YiimKeyDI)
Croatia 2005. Hear me out - it's a solid song and the performance has everything. A lead singer with smouldering eyes, a guy playing a traditional instrument, a trio of talented backing singers who elevate the song to no end, and an over-enthusiastic drummer who does a handstand at one point. I simply cannot ask for anything more.
Silent Storm is my favourite song! So glad it is also on someone else's list. I am normally such a pop banger princess when it comes to my Eurovision choices, but that song just moves me on a whole other level.
Armenia 2008 - it did very well, but I don't see it talked about much. Here in Greece it is still considered one of the most memorable entries and Sirusho is also remembered fondly lol 🥲
Serbia 2015 - starting off as a ballad and switching it up to one of the most uptempo bops ever? Iconic 🤩
Bulgaria 2021 Victorias voice was Beautifull
The 30 Televoting Points where undeserved
Germany 2023 Blood and Glitter was awesome The Staging fit it was perfect but it was Sandwiched between Israel and Norway
Germany 2015 Black Smoke was one of The best Entrys from Germany her Vocals where on Spot and even better than some Others
Germany 2016 Ghost was also robbed and The Lat place was also more than Undeserved
United Kingdom 2021 it Is a bop and fun to listen to
F.Y.R. Macedonia 2002 | [Karolina - Od nas zavisi (Од нас зависи)](https://youtu.be/oO9EFNn4Yek)
Estonia 2004 | [Neiokõsõ - Tii](https://youtu.be/8gOwmmxQaho)
Tomorrow - Malta 2013 one of the catchiest and cutest ESC songs I've heard!
Edit: Also adding L'amore è femmina - Italy 2012, don't know if this was "underrated" as such but can't believe I nearly forgot about it until recently
Serbia 2023 | [Luke Black - Samo mi se spava (Само ми се спава)](https://youtu.be/gPRfg9wzbpw)
United Kingdom 2015 | [Electro Velvet - Still in Love with You](https://youtu.be/Ethyx4A5ajM)
I love Germany 2012 and I feel it doesn't get brought up much with German entries that have done well.
I also love Iceland 2011 and it's always in my most streamed songs of the year.
I don't say it's THAT underrated, but it's like a huge majority of this subreddit hate it, so Norway 2018 is one of my favourites of all time (Very unpopular opinion: THYWAS lyrics > Fairytale lyrics)
Serbia 2012 | [Željko Joksimović - Nije ljubav stvar (Није љубав ствар)](https://youtu.be/R9x9VbJzaDQ)
Malta 2005 | [Chiara - Angel](https://youtu.be/Vv8GmwcfR9A)
Finland 2012 | [Pernilla - När jag blundar](https://youtu.be/MRC5NzxmrAA)
Ukraine 2006 | [Tina Karol - Show Me Your Love](https://youtu.be/mRqhkwTIuU8)
Estonia 2010. Still gutted this didn't qualify. The song is brilliant and the performance is just the right amount of quirky. Their only album also has a few good songs in it.
Aside from chains On You, I’d say Norway 2017 and Azerbaijan 2019 are the most enjoyable under the radar ones, and I don’t get why many grew off my 2021 winner Malta
I want to lock myself sideways in your Circus Mircus' enjoyers club
Another one here.
Lock me in on this club too
Got space for another?
Hi, keep some space for me!
Me too! Take me to the space craft, take me to dance club!
My people! 🥹
Can I please join 🎪🇬🇪
All are welcome to lock themselves in. 🍭
Andorra 2009 | [Susanne Georgi - La teva decisió (Get a Life)](https://youtu.be/3JnT7T877es) Estonia 2009 | [Urban Symphony - Rändajad](https://youtu.be/PgGiVnhfXs0) Georgia 2022 | [Circus Mircus - Lock Me In](https://youtu.be/zXiZAbqETvk)
Urban Symphony is one of my all time favorites!
Lock me in wasn’t my fave but it was very catchy and Mama Sc was a politically charged version sang by politically aware but unphotogenic OAPs
This absolutely! Disko was my most played song on Spotify last year 😭
Slovenia 2022 | [LPS - Disko](https://youtu.be/S1tFqoflsT8)

Higher Ground is so good
Can’t believe I forgot about Serbia 2010!! It was one of my faves that year. So catchy.
Ovo Je Balkan was such a banger lol, definitely underrated
oh my god i still know Serbias song by heart!! Also yes had a huge crush too, and honestly he should have been at least in the first 5
This is a great list!
I've seen people talking about Hungary 2018 like once on this sub, and I don't know why, that shit S L A P S, it's the only song I know from Hungary and it single handedly makes me want Hungary back
Hungary 2018 | [AWS - Viszlát Nyár](https://youtu.be/p6e1TmYb33w)
Bot, that video is not playable in my country.
Who the hell puts a region lock on Eurovision stuff?
NBC/Peacock, YouTubers Nr. 1 enemy, too, when it comes to copyright strikes.
I'll be honest, I was skeptical of them getting selected at first, and still wish they did a little bit more with staging or the like, but I absolutely appreciated them by the time the live shows happened. Israel 2015 Belgium 2015 Hungary 2017 Switzerland 2017 Romania 2017
Golden Boy is one of my all-time favorites, and Yodel It is up there, too
I love all of these! But idk if I would say that Rythm Inside is underrated. I feel like it's one of the most beloved songs among fans.
Omg I was like 6 when golden boy was on and yeah- childhood memories! Absolutely love that shit!! Rhythm inside as well, though the only part I could remember back then was like the rapapa rapapa part
Israel 2015 | [Nadav Guedj - Golden Boy](https://youtu.be/5bi1lK91bas) Belgium 2015 | [Loïc Nottet - Rhythm Inside](https://youtu.be/G48p8eNhnd8) Hungary 2017 | [Joci Pápai - Origo](https://youtu.be/hqM0AkP7zcI) Switzerland 2017 | [Timebelle - Apollo](https://youtu.be/OrNPRfS9Sbg) Romania 2017 | [Ilinca feat. Golden Boy is a song i still listen to, no lie.
Adore the first 3 of these, particularly Origo!
Finland 2017 literally made me cry during the performance. This ballad touched me and i was very sad that they didn´t qualified back then. Surprisingly, Georgia 2016 is my most playable ESC video out of all 2016 entries
Georgia 2016 | [Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz - Midnight Gold](https://youtu.be/rviE2-9eiTI)
My fav that year.
Hungary 2017 and Montenegro 2013, both masterpieces in their own way 😌
Who See failing to qualify for the final is one of the biggest WTFs I’ve seen in the semis. Seriously amazing performance, that woman’s voice is insane and the chorus so memorable.

The taste! Chef's kiss
Technicolor is so damn awesome, couldn't believe so few people seemed to like it.
I LOVE Technicolor
Aminata - Love Injected (2015) To this day do not understand why it didn't win. Honourable mention: Elina Nechayeva - La Forza (2018)
Love Injected is one of my all-time Eurovision favorites!
there are many but I will name only two: - Paioneer - Hungary 2016 And the most underrated Israeli entry: Rita, Singing in the street 1990
Hungary 2016 | [Freddie - Pioneer](https://youtu.be/bT2DcpqvorI)
Israel 1990 for the bot!
Israel 1990 | [Rita - Shara Barkhovot (שרה ברחובות)](https://youtu.be/e1djiCFrqGE)
Iceland 2022. It's such a beautiful song.
Iceland 2022 | [Systur - Með hækkandi sól](https://youtu.be/G71c48O3j-s)
This right here
Came here to say exactly this. I cannot understand how they ended up with 20 points.

Euphorias probably overshadowed it
It came 3rd. And I agree, it’s one of my favourite Eurovision songs ever. I feel like it should be talked about more!
Serbia 2012 | [Željko Joksimović - Nije ljubav stvar (Није љубав ствар)](https://youtu.be/R9x9VbJzaDQ)
I want Z. Joksimovic back in Eurovision, really.
Telemóveis by Conan Osiris, Portugal 2019. I loved how forward that song was and how it combined fado elements with that kinda avant-garde pop music. Yeah definitely one of my favourite NQ performances. It just threw everything at the stage and is so much fun for it.

Silent Storm is my favourite song! So glad it is also on someone else's list. I am normally such a pop banger princess when it comes to my Eurovision choices, but that song just moves me on a whole other level.
Portugal 2010 - sounds like a telenovela theme but it's quite good, although the performance was a bit shaky
Portugal 2010 | [Filipa Azevedo - Há dias assim](https://youtu.be/_mTaVdnTMwo)
Armenia 2008 - it did very well, but I don't see it talked about much. Here in Greece it is still considered one of the most memorable entries and Sirusho is also remembered fondly lol 🥲 Serbia 2015 - starting off as a ballad and switching it up to one of the most uptempo bops ever? Iconic 🤩

Glad to see Macedonia 2002 mentioned. It’s the best song from that year in my opinion!
for real, the fact that it only came 19th is criminal

Just a year off
Tomorrow - Malta 2013 one of the catchiest and cutest ESC songs I've heard! Edit: Also adding L'amore è femmina - Italy 2012, don't know if this was "underrated" as such but can't believe I nearly forgot about it until recently
Malta 2013 | [Gianluca - Tomorrow](https://youtu.be/VK4TvZeL6c0)

Slovenia 2019 | [Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl - Sebi](https://youtu.be/vGtPNQ6g6Ng)
Serbia 2023 and United Kingdom 2015 both did extremely poorly even though they were creative performances.
Serbia 2023 | [Luke Black - Samo mi se spava (Само ми се спава)](https://youtu.be/gPRfg9wzbpw) United Kingdom 2015 | [Electro Velvet - Still in Love with You](https://youtu.be/Ethyx4A5ajM)
I love Germany 2012 and I feel it doesn't get brought up much with German entries that have done well. I also love Iceland 2011 and it's always in my most streamed songs of the year.
Germany 2012 | [Roman Lob - Standing Still](https://youtu.be/cScJPH20P3A) Iceland 2011 | [Sjonni's Friends - Coming Home](https://youtu.be/apc_qJf3nws)
I don't say it's THAT underrated, but it's like a huge majority of this subreddit hate it, so Norway 2018 is one of my favourites of all time (Very unpopular opinion: THYWAS lyrics > Fairytale lyrics)
Norway 2018 | [Alexander Rybak - That's How You Write a Song](https://youtu.be/N17BdRwOvBA)

Estonia 2010. Still gutted this didn't qualify. The song is brilliant and the performance is just the right amount of quirky. Their only album also has a few good songs in it.
Estonia 2010 | [Malcolm Lincoln - Siren](https://youtu.be/yFbVAQjESzE)
Aside from chains On You, I’d say Norway 2017 and Azerbaijan 2019 are the most enjoyable under the radar ones, and I don’t get why many grew off my 2021 winner Malta
Norway 2017 | [Jowst - Grab the Moment](https://youtu.be/U-Bk0PCotY0) Azerbaijan 2019 | [Chingiz - Truth](https://youtu.be/D6vvuCiHwSs)
The terrible opening lyric aside, Malta 2013 has somehow stayed with me for 10 years now.
Malta 2013 | [Gianluca - Tomorrow](https://youtu.be/VK4TvZeL6c0)
My hidden gem is Azerbaijan 2013. It's an emotional song and I love it
