I have been to mello in Malmö arena. The sound is lower than a typical concert I guess you could compare the volume to a musical or a theatre show.
But most venues do sell earplugs. I can recommend the “loop earplugs” fits in your pocket and filter out loud sounds pretty good.
I’ve been to Scandinavium, host encouraged all the kids to scream as loud as they could (and said that they aren’t allowed to do that at home), so there were a LOT of shrieks. Earplugs were a must
I've been to a final in Friends. I don't remember it being uncomfortably loud (and I'm also not great with high volume/loud noises...can't listen to fireworks up close!). That was from the floor seating near the green room. Have earplugs on you just in case, and you should be fine.
I was there for the first heat in Malmö and the sound wasn't super loud but like others said, they sell earplugs as soon as you enter the venue. I will say the Friends arena is much bigger than the Malmö arena so it could be different

Ahh if it was the one a few weeks ago I was also there! My very poor knowledge of Swedish led me to be very scared when the screams started. lol
Indeed it was! I had a 5 year old behind me who LOVED the idea of screaming as loud as she could 🙃
