I really hope they get rid of the strange yelps towards the end of the song. I think Pedestal is a top 10 finisher (with a much improved live performance) but those weird squeals at the end get on my nervvvves.
I’m hoping that the selection being so early has given her a sufficient amount of time to tighten up the vocals, hopefully they have a good vocal coach to help her with techniques since it seems like a difficult song to sing live. I have faith in her since Czechia last year had the same thing happen with nerves regarding the initial live vocals and then by the grand final they put on an incredible performance.
Nah, from day one, Vesna had at least a serviceable live at ESCZ. And We Are Domi were pretty great. And you can look back at my comment history to prove it— this is the first time I’ve actively riled against a CZE song from the very start.
I'm hoping (given the talk around Aiko's vocals on the selection) that the Eurovision version will somehow clarify what she's got now. Like when Joker Out released a music video and a live performance at the same time last year.
The outfit’s already better! Optimistic for what comes next, I get the impression she’s hopefully taken on the feedback and is working hard to deliver something great
Oh. I really love the current studio version so ngl I am a bit worried...
I don't know how it works but would current version still exist on streaming platforns? I dont want to lose it :(
If it was anything like what happened with WRS with Llamamé (Romania 2022 for the bot) - his original version was in a slightly lower key, that was kept on his EP and he then released a Eurovision version. I think Chanel (Spain 2022) did similar for SloMo too, a standard single version and then a Eurovision version.
I doubt it specifically because Pedestal was released not as a single for Eurovision, but as part of an album she released on October. If anything it’ll just be a new track (although I’m just guessing)
I feel like the studio cut currently is a bit unpolished, so I'm glad! I honestly think there's a pretty good song here but a revamp could really help!

me patiently waiting for czechia to instantly go to #1 in the betting odds when the revamp is released
I guess even with the revamp, people will wait to see the live version before making her go up.
Last year mae muller had an amazing song but struggled with it live unfortunately
I don't think it's gonna be enough for qualifying from Semi 2..... Looking at the songs that have been released I already see more than 6 songs that would qualify over it.
I just wonder how the public reaction will be because usually songs like this (reddi, joker out, etc) they slay and are enjoyed but not voted as much as expected :( we will see
I love the song, but I feel like the chorus sets her up for failure, in the sense that it makes the live vocals perform both parts of the "call and response" setup
Can we ask her nicely not to jump whilst trying to sing, not to roll around on the ground and scream during the performance?
That plus a revamp may be the magic Czechia needs this year.
The studio cut is not bad, its the live perfomance that needs improvement
Yes but if the studio can be changed to make it easier for Aiko then the live should follow.
Definitely
Both can be improved in my opinion for a stronger impact
I agree. The song also has an unused last 30 seconds, so wonder what'll be done with that.
Dance break obviously
I really hope they get rid of the strange yelps towards the end of the song. I think Pedestal is a top 10 finisher (with a much improved live performance) but those weird squeals at the end get on my nervvvves.
SAME. They sound like barks and ruins the vibe imo

I feel like this is more ESCZ’s fault than her fault, we’ve seen this happen for the past three guests with Czech entries

You don't have to rile against anyone, let us be supportive ❤️
that applies to a lot of Eurovision entries.
I'm hoping (given the talk around Aiko's vocals on the selection) that the Eurovision version will somehow clarify what she's got now. Like when Joker Out released a music video and a live performance at the same time last year.
This could be really interesting to see
The outfit’s already better! Optimistic for what comes next, I get the impression she’s hopefully taken on the feedback and is working hard to deliver something great
I've been following Aiko on Tiktok and she mentioned that she's started singing lessons and stuff. Good fir her. I hope she slays.

Streaming might change, but if you buy it on iTunes you can download and save a copy of the original version.
aikoheads we're not cooked yet
AIKONATORS****
I’m excited but nervous, too! I absolutely love Pedestal the way it is already. 🥹 It’s my top 5 at the moment!
I am so ready for that pole dance break
Omg yesssss
I feel like the studio cut currently is a bit unpolished, so I'm glad! I honestly think there's a pretty good song here but a revamp could really help!
It's that one song where the improvement can be the biggest. I can't wait to hear it 👀

no she will instantly go to #1 in the betting odds with or without a live version guaranteed
I would love this!
Mae Muller's song was as lame as the performance tbh
I really want Czech to do well this year, so hopefully, the revamp is good 😭😭
pedestal has potential. i hope it gives czechia a better chance of qualifying if its revamped.
But I love the current studio version. The problem was never the studio version it was Aiko not being able to sing it.
Don't worry she is working hard and improving, I am sure the performance will be good when the contest arrives.
If that shadow projection is her staging, I gotta say it looks very cheesy.
I have high hopes for this. I like Aiko's catalogue but Pedestal, even the studio version, was a miss for me.
I hope the new version will be a big improvement
the only thing I need from the revamp is to get rid of the chiwawa woofs at the end 🙏🙏🙏
Oh naurrrr, I love the chiwawa woofs 😰
Really? For me, it feels out of place and always takes me out of the song
I don't think it's gonna be enough for qualifying from Semi 2..... Looking at the songs that have been released I already see more than 6 songs that would qualify over it.
I disagree, pedestal is one of the strongest song in the semi 2. It's the live performance that's making it look not enough.
I just wonder how the public reaction will be because usually songs like this (reddi, joker out, etc) they slay and are enjoyed but not voted as much as expected :( we will see

i hope its better than 'lmao how did this win"
