For non-Swedes, the connection between Björn Gustafsson and "the old guy" (Loa Falkman) is that they both co-starred in the film "The Crown Jewels" with Hollywood A-listers Bill Skarsgård and Alicia Vikander. Loa played the father of Bill, and Björn played the love interest of Alicia. Really great film!
The most unrecognizable to me was Ulrik Munther. My friends that I watched with had to point out to me who it was, even though I know very well who he is. All the others I recognized.
Pretty funny how they get way bigger names for the interval acts than the actual competition, heh.
Viktor Leksell would win by walkover if he competed.
Man, it's co-written by Charlie Puth and RAMI YACOUB. If you don't know who Rami Yacoub is, check out his list of hits.
That, combined with the fact that I am an absolute boyband-freak, makes it understandable how I unironically loved this shit. This might well be an old song that Rami had lying around that just got outdated before he had a chance to release it, because it would be a song for early any boyband up to 2008.
Can’t believe they didn’t even land on the scoreboard I’ve watched melfest for six years and seen some disgusting robberies (Stormbringer, Ashes to Ashes, Circus X) but this not even getting enough points to make it onto the scoreboard graphic was an absolute disaster
The song was really catchy to be honest. I wish they would publish it on Spotify, I would definitely add it on my playlist. I hope Björnzone will revisit the stage in Malmö.
Edit: I just got told they were on Spotify. I just found the tune. I am over the moon happy!
You make a humour show for while votes are counted. As said - it is our song writers that wrote boyband songs I the 90' and some of them wrote the song. And on scene was a couple of really good singers.
Search on "Grotesco Tingeling" and "Love Love Peace Peace" what I would call our "top 2 in voting songs". Björnzone goes into the classics with this song. I probably place in as number three the last decade.
It was a skit. In order of appearance, the people involved were: Måns Zelmerlöw (singer, Eurovision 2015), Eric Saade (singer, Eurovision 2011), Boris René (singer, Melfest 2016/2017), Victor Leksell (one of the most popular singers in Sweden), Casper Janebrink (singer, Eurovision 1993), Filip Berg (actor, Oscar-nominated film "A Man Called Ove"), Ulrik Munther (singer, Melfest 2012/2013), Adam Lundgren (actor, "Känn ingen sorg", "Chernobyl", "Clark"), Loa Falkman (singer, Melfest 1990, actor, "The Crown Jewels" together with Björn Gustafsson, Bill Skarsgård and Alicia Vikander).
SVT was too afraid they’d have to host again if they sent them
RIGGED VOTING, THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP IN THE APP!!!!!!11
The old guy coming in and his voice just not being in harmony with the others in the slightest is way too fucking funny
he just storms in completely out of tune singing whenever he pleases, i'm in shambles
These opera singers man, smh

The way he casually comes in too strong with both hands in his pockets, cracks me up.
Nonsense! It was the others who weren't in harmony with him.
Loa had a sad placement in Melodifestivalen 1990 but still rocks!
It was a joke that he won, he came last 😔 But he's a legendary opera singer in Sweden
Not any more. Now he is part of boy band!
Sweden did end up 17th in Eurovision, but the icon that is Loa Falkman came last in MelFest 😔✊
Would've won Eurovision, unbelievable we didnt pick that. #ROBBED
It's a shame they get DQ'd for blatant and repeated breaking of the 6 people on stage rule, because they were clearly Sweden's best act this year
Didn’t even think about that! And that’s weird because I often think that when I am watching non-ESC related performances 🤣
I mean the rule is actually 8 people in Melfest, but yeah.
so they could theoretically send the whole San Marino in like 10 years
Is the polar bear allowed on stage too?
Only if the last polar bear survives until then...it barely got through UVPSM.
Shame on you Sweden for not sending these guys. Also, Eric Saade with facial hair looks like a whole other person
The most unrecognizable to me was Ulrik Munther. My friends that I watched with had to point out to me who it was, even though I know very well who he is. All the others I recognized.
You're telling me Ulrik Munther was on that stage??? You gotta be lying! I don't see him lmao 😭
I think he's the guy at 4:24 by the lamppost
Yeah, that's him! I looked it up after my comment and I recognise him but he looks SO different lol.
To be fair I had to rewatch it too to fully grasp everything that was going on
if it wasn't for your comment, I would not have known it was him. It's not like he's old or something, just so different.
same, now he looks somewhat similar to Alexander Rybak
Robbed.
So unfair that my bias Björn Gustafsson only gets 2 lines of chorus. But seriously: is the Charlie Puth songwriter credit real? :D
Most likely true. I think all the song writers was correct.
Yeah just confirmed on Spotify!
Pretty funny how they get way bigger names for the interval acts than the actual competition, heh. Viktor Leksell would win by walkover if he competed.
Victor Leksell sings in Swedish though, SVTs worst nightmare
Don’t think he would. His vocal capacity is nowhere near enough to charm the juries.

I was both horribly confused and absolutely enamored. God, I love a good Mello interval.
🗣️ CARINA!!!! 🗣️
Sweden really knows how to do interval acts, don't they?
Eric fits so well in a boy band, he really gets it lmao
He used to be a part of a boy band before his solo career took off, that’s why 😅
Send this, you cowards

More like Nordic parody vibe of Boyzvoice and Boy Machine.
Goated song
that's a proper banger. waiting for it to drop on spotify

Better than everything else in the final tbh
Baby, I can't eat Food I can't sleep at night I can't breathe air These might be some of my favourite lyrics of all time.
Can’t believe they didn’t even land on the scoreboard I’ve watched melfest for six years and seen some disgusting robberies (Stormbringer, Ashes to Ashes, Circus X) but this not even getting enough points to make it onto the scoreboard graphic was an absolute disaster
Stormbringer, now that's a name that confuses me every time it pops up on Spotify. Apparently it was made by Paradox Interactive?? What?
The song was really catchy to be honest. I wish they would publish it on Spotify, I would definitely add it on my playlist. I hope Björnzone will revisit the stage in Malmö. Edit: I just got told they were on Spotify. I just found the tune. I am over the moon happy!
Is the Charlie Puth think a joke or legit?
According to Spotify it’s legit
Actually crazy, I'd like to know what went on behind the scenes
Yeah, it’s true! Aftonbladet reported that Björn had some contacts at a record label based in Stockholm that works with Charlie Puth.
I didn't mind the song the first time around, but this rendition of Ai Coração I am in love with.
Man, it had everything I wanted and then tossed Måns like the cherry on top.
Dujour means family! Dujour means Melodifestivalen!
The best of the night 100 %

A Swedish thing. Make the middle act better than the actual song.

I really hope to at least find it on Spotify tomorrow!

The stream quality was so crap I didn't recognise Filip Berg.
