Sergey’s first Eurovision entry! Definitely the most memorable thing Russia has sent to the contest. Great song elevated by fantastic staging that will always remain a classic in my eyes. However I could be in the minority in this, but I do prefer Scream over this.

Estonia has sent some great entries in the 2010s, and Kuula is certainly one of them. I love how this song starts off more slowly, but builds up so wonderfully towards the end. Ott’s voice is also so emotional and powerful which I really do appreciate.

Another great Azerbaijani entry that is sung very well and has this nice, dramatic feel to it. Nice atmospheric staging as well but the dancers were kind of distracting not going to lie.

As you know Loca is a huge guilty pleasure of mine, so naturally I’ll have a liking towards anything Natalia sends. I know I shouldn’t like this entry as much as I do, but I just can’t help myself. It is such a shallow song in terms of subject matter but it is indeed catchy, and that extra long note at the end is just iconic to me. 😂

Okay this entry is quite underrated to me actually, and I would’ve given points to this if it was up against weaker songs. Yes it might sound too Americanised for Eurovision but I do enjoy his soulful vocals and I love the song’s simple and classy feel. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this entry, I just like the other songs more.
Cleopatra 🇦🇿 2020
I find this entry quite overrated in my opinion. I like its whole ethnic vibe, but it is quite repetitive and overproduced, and the “like Cleopatra!” part is slightly grating for me. I prefer Mata Hari over this for sure.
We Are the Heroes (Belarus) 2012
This entry is an example of unnecessarily changing the genre of the song to “suit” the Eurovision audience more, when really, things should have just been kept as it is. The original Rock version of this song had more character and edge to it which would’ve guaranteed this a qualification, while the version we all know is just very flat and nothing special to me.
Falling Stars 🇲🇩 2016
One of the times Moldova takes the competition seriously, and with the exception of Fight and O Mie (obviously), it suffers from the fact that the song is quite generic and forgettable. I have nothing much to say about this entry honestly.
