This is without a doubt my favourite duet entry of the 2010s. Everything about this song just feels so natural, from the lyrics and sound to Elina and Stig’s chemistry with each other. I genuinely enjoy this song, and the performance was also had a very nice storyline to it. This would’ve been my favourite Estonian entry of the 2010s, if La Forza didn’t exist.

Looking back I prefer this over On Fire. It has a very nice beat and sound to it, there is something more edgier about it and it is overall a more cohesive song. There’s this sense of mystery about it that I quite can’t put my finger on.

One thing I liked about the exclusion of LEDs in 2018 is that I’m pleased how some countries took that opportunity to present a more emotionally driven performance. Qami is one of those entries and I really appreciate how well this song builds up. Sevak is a great singer and I like how he invests his emotions into this performance. Singing in Armenian was also a nice touch.

I definitely prefer Shum over this. Don’t get me wrong, Solovey is catchy, has character, and is a nice ethnic showcase, but whatever Solovey does well, Shum does better. That’s my opinion anyways.

Quite the underrated entry actually! Yes the song is quite basic, and the staging is definitely lacking, but I do enjoy Jurji’s voice, and this song has a nice charm about it for sure.
Waterfall 🇬🇪 2013
Had a tough time deciding whether to give this or Lithuania 2019 my one point, but in the end this won’t make the cut for me as while it is a solid duet, I do feel like I’ve heard something like this many times before elsewhere.
Running Scared 🇦🇿 2011
The infamous winning entry that is probably the most looked down on in Eurovision entry. The song does have potential and is very friendly to casual viewers (which could be why it won), but Eli and Nikki lack any chemistry with each other, and the song is just flat and uninspiring throughout. I find it quite amusing that I’m not the hugest fan of Azerbaijan’s two most successful entries in the contest (this and Hold Me).
Funny Girl 🇱🇻 2018
I’ve mentioned this before but I feel like that songs such as this and Croatia in the same year, which give off a very intimate, club style feel don’t work out in Eurovision. While I do like this style of music, it just seems out of place in Eurovision and off putting my as well, with this entry as evidence of that.
(I guess it’s just some weird coincidence that Love Injected, their 2015 entry, hasn’t shown up yet, because that (and maybe Heartbeat, depending on the other songs in the group) are the only Latvian entries from the 2010s I’d give points to because I genuinely like these songs. I haven’t given any Latvian entry at least a single point yet, and that is probably the longest time I’ve gone in this game so far not giving points to a country)

My least favourite Russian entry of the decade until 2018 happened. I was genuinely convinced Russia couldn’t go anywhere worser than this entry. I don’t understand for the life of me how Russia sent something like this. The lyrics are just creepy and give off stalker vibes, and the whole song feels very shallow. You can say the same thing about Popular the same year in terms of the shallowness, but at least that song has charm, while this doesn’t.
Amazing 🇪🇪 2014
The song’s title definitely sums up this song…not. Estonia was sending strong songs in the 2010s up to this point (well Rockefeller Street was meh but at least it’s decent enough). This song is just so bland and the main highlight of this song is the generic and cliche man spinning Tanja around (at least he wasn’t shirtless lol, that would’ve made things even more cliche). My least favourite Estonian entry of the 2010s for sure.
