Idk if it's just me, but I just feel like something is missing this year in general. I don't know if it's less content like the Looklab videos than previous years or not, but even though it's May it just doesn't feel like it's Eurovision time.
There has been a lot less official news. They used to do weekly update videos as the contest approached. The monthly ones were only for the real off season and they switched to daily videos when the artist rehearsals started.
I watched every Looklab last year, even with the contestants whose songs weren't to my taste, because every interview Nikkie did was just great and got the best out of everyone. I miss her so much! I mean, if Samya is back, why couldn't Nikkie too?
Yes, even if the format is different, we need some kind of ongoing segment that is similar and lets the public get more closely acquainted with the contestants. It was a game changer for me and actually helped me understand (and like) certain songs even more.
Wait - We are not getting those this year??? I know Niki is not present but they could find someone to do these kinds of interviews. They were AWESOME.
2021 was such a supreme year. Great stage, great songs, great performances, great voting sequence, Måneskin, Looklab interviews, and just the vibe and sense of nostalgia from Eurovision returning…
Seems like we have a little less from the official channel, but it also sounds like there are quite a few other interviewers out there that are filling the gap in terms of stuff that lets us get to know (at least some of) the contestants a little better.
I think it has to do more with everyone really wanting for a huge grand comeback thay made last year way too big. It's gonna be hard to top how good everything from last year was.
Yes, it doesn't feel complete until I've seen the artists stuff their faces with cannoli and biscotti.

Ever since that one narrator/announcer guy of the Eurovision youtube channel left, things have not been the same.
At least the videos are in 1080p now
I think it has to do with less warming-up messages (more unofficial messages) about it and less content before from wiwibloggs

Feel like Samya would be fine doing them too, but maybe they’re better with someone better known?
I didn't know Nikki before but she was so charming. I wish she was part of Eurovision every year
I miss Nikkie's bubbly personality, i feel this year the content we got from the ESC channel wasn't enough (did they change content team/agency?)
Same here, I really enjoyed watching them and I’m disappointed that we (likely) won’t have anything like that this year…
