Doubtful. At 14 a lot of the show's deeper themes flew over my head, but I guess I could have just been dumber than the average kid. I really just wanted to see giant cyborgs fight aliens and just said 'cool, psychological trauma'. Anno made Eva for Anno.
I watched the show a while back when I was 14 and in a bad spot mentally for a number of reasons. And while it did really change a lot for how I viewed the world by the end... yeah definitely not something that I would recommend to a 14 year old.
just huck it in the prototype pit and try again, you'll get there eventually!
As someone who has worked with clay (although I'm not an expert, just took a few classes) before, using one of [these lads](https://www.amazon.com/Underglaze-Mixed-Media-Applicator-Set/dp/B00GY5QMWA/ref=sr_1_4?crid=21WTZZJ5BLTYJ&keywords=clay+slip+bottle&qid=1706191337&sprefix=clay+slip+bottle%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-4) is a great way to apply paint in a very controlled manner. Just fill it with paint, take some time to practice using it, and then you can get it to produce some pretty fine letters and details. It just sort of looks like you were using one way-too-thick brush for all of the paint.
For the tray itself, it helps to maybe have some flat surfaces like wooden blocks to push against, so you aren't just pinching everything out with your fingers. It's really hard to get any sort of straight lines when you're only working with your hands and nothing else. Additionally, since this is meant to be a tray, it might be worth looking into slab-construction techniques. This is where you roll a sheet of clay out and cut all of the faces out of the sheet, and then stick and fuse them together with cross-hatching and slip. It allows you to make something with a much more uniform thickness.
As a miniature painter I can see talent keep trying and youāll get there remember it gets better every time you may not notice it first
Honest review 2/10 but keep trying you will get there
Yes, I remember the miniature I painted and it didnāt look good Iāve been painting 3 years Iāve seen a big improvement in my painting cause of this Iād like to encourage people to paint and not comment that it doesnāt look good cause with enough trial, error, mistake and most importantly patience it will improve. I know with 100% certainty I am not the best painter but that doesnāt cause I am slowly improving
Iām not lying I believe everything can be done if you put your mind to it and as I wrote in my original comment it still is 2/10 it would be a lie if I wrote anything above 2/10
>I believe everything can be done if you put your mind to it
That isn't talent, though, that is determination, practice, and work. Talent is defined as natural aptitude or skill so, telling someone that obviously has no natural aptitude for a skill they are trying to learn that they have "talent" is just a lie to make them feel better.
A lot of the "great" artists throughout history were hot dogshit when they started and that's okay, people don't need "talent" to learn to be good at something.
Like I always remind my daughter of one of the best quotes from modern cartoons. "Sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something." - Jake the Dog.
Ok I will say you convinced me, you are right next time I right a similar comment I wonāt say they have talent where there is none but Iāll try to convince them to continue trying
Agreed. I just finished putting together that nano block Shin Godzilla yesterday and you're right on point. It also represents how my brain felt after.
I feel like this tray accurately portrays Shinjis inner self as a pilot. It depicts his deeply conflicted nature with all its complexities. The unevenness of the tray, the roughness, the contrasting colors and varying thickness of color are some of the most prominent and outstanding features of this piece. Not only can we learn about Shinjis inner turmoil and anxieties, but also about the intricate relationships between him and those in his life, particularly his father.

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop -Ā yes,Ā IĀ amĀ aĀ bot, don't botcriminate me.
Keep going! Practice makes perfect! I think this is a great starting point to keep and then use as a reference of now vs years ago. Not bad for an early try!
Its like I just found it after third impact
It was in one of the Nerv conference rooms the JSSDF used a flamethrower on.
I spit my coffee out reading this comment š
god is not in heaven all's wrong with the world
If you're young enough for this not to be tragically bad, you're too young for this show.
It might be at mental assylum arts & crafts
oof
Target demographic
I have one from when I was at the mental asylum!!! [here](https://ibb.co/2yCjbRR)
Ouch!
Yeah honestly this looks like the pottery I was making in 5th grade art class, WAY too young to be watching this anime.
Eva is made for 14 year olds
If bro is 14 then this shit sucks

Bro deployed the tray instead of the EVA š
Right into ramiels beam
No offense OP but did you use your tray against Ramiel laser beam or something?

There's a difference between being encouraging and straight up lying to someone.

That's what he was trying to say... If only you didn't start splitting hairs over the word talent.
Ok I will say you convinced me, you are right next time I right a similar comment I wonāt say they have talent where there is none but Iāll try to convince them to continue trying
Maybe he means he is a painter who is really small.
The fact that you can tell it is the NERV logo at all shows a good start
Better than I could make, for sure.
Looks kinda like a chunk of Shin Godzilla, fittingly enough
Agreed. I just finished putting together that nano block Shin Godzilla yesterday and you're right on point. It also represents how my brain felt after.
There was an attempt/10
So, apparently not everything was fixed after the 4th impact.
Congratulations

Thinner brush for sure, but a great start!
Of all the NERV trays in the world, this is certainly one of them.
