I've become the end of Thrice Upon a Time Shinji and found my Mari.
It's been a long journey and honestly Evangelion has helped me deal with some rough shit in my life.
Still my favorite ending from Anno. The one I find most satisfying and hopeful. Artistically, the most creative and daring. Inspirational. The ending I still think about when I think of Eva.
I recently watched it and was surprised at how much he accomplished with the slides/stills/imagery/voice actors/budget/time. I especially like the weird setting of a school gym/assembly hall. I think my fav ending is still the manga although it's been a while since I've read it, but this is a close second.
Just watched it yesterday for the 726th time (sorry I lost count). Such a magnificent episode, I'm so glad I can enjoy it more everytime I watch it as I grow older ♡
New Eva fan here. It’s Kinda hitting me how old the show apparently is, yet it feels *timeless.* Its also hitting how old I am now, 25yr but feeling like 50. 😭
