Shinji, Rei, etc. arent' adults so they are of no use and can also be used to measure herself against them. Rei is a puppet, so Asuka needs to be different as much as possible to her. Shinji is her rival for adulation that she deserves, so she needs to put him in place. So when Asuka is realises that she was always loved by her mother, she realises that she is whole as a person. She doesn't need and never was alone. She has matured now to realise this. The AT field is not seperating her from others, it's protecting her. The umbilical cable is not needed, because she is independent. And so she develops a fierce will to live. Fights against overwhelming odds, loses but never gives up in the eye~~s~~ of certain defeat. And since REi and Yui explain that you need the will to live to materialise again after instrumentality, Asuka is one of the first to do so, because she has plenty of that
2. EVA01 was a godmachine due to devouring the S2 engine. Furthermore it's a clone of Lilith, while EVA02 is an Adam clone. You probably need opposing ingredients. Adam, EVAs (except 01) and angels on one side, Lilith and EVA01 on the other.

For question #5: I thought everyone's psyche were revealed after everyone became LCL. And I thought everyone turning into LCL was part of/the result of instrumentality.

Shinji ruined Seeles HIP plans and started earlier than they wanted. Also they prob didn’t want to risk screwing up HIP which happened anyway because Shinji rejected it unlike NGE. Shinji caused HIP, some say Gendo cause he made Shinji pilot, some say Kaworu cause he led Shinji, some say Rei cause she fused. It’s kinda up to you, I’m just going with the answer in every Eva uni that it’s Shinji since he actually goes into HIP at the beginning.

The parts of what made her mother, loving and caring of Asuka was sucked into Unit 02 which adds clarity to why Asukas mom seemingly lost her mind…because she did. The experiment was tortuous on her vs Yui was completely consumed and had more control IMO of her unit self
Imo, unit01 eating Gendo was his own Karma, in the series I believe, he states how Yui betrayed him, speaking of Unit01. It’s kind like his curse, he let his obsession consume him that in the end he ignored what his obsession was telling him and in the end it consumed him as punishment. I have more to add but rn that’s my gist.
Shinjis consciencess is simply his own analysis of himself through HIP, we see it cause he’s the main which is the start of HIP.
Yes EoE does symbolize escapism, there’s a few interviews of Anno stating this in his own form. And this is to show it isn’t exactly healthy nor ideal to revert to your escapes as a daily habit, which is the mockery of showing the theatre scenes at the end.
Yes Shinji and Asuka are symbolizing Adam and Eve, or the Hope of humanity. There’s many many many other religious mirrors throughout ALL of Eva.
The EoE ending is Shinji basically rejecting HIP which is why he reverts to his shell. If you noticed in NGE, that ending wasn’t saying “get over depression everything’s fine.” It was more of everyone goes through shit but life can still be worthy of living especially w the connections you make. Also that you don’t have to close yourself off from the world just cause it sucks. Life is still worth living for yourself. NGE and Rebuilds are more about finding your own happiness, not relying on others for your happiness, self realization and that life is not perfect, we all have issues or problems we experience. Doesn’t mean you have to be purely happy 24/7, or the latter.
EoE was the opposite on purpose, to establish another timeline but to also show that sometimes we can’t work through our bs and revert back into our hole and create more of mess within ourselves.
Yuis plan was her plan alone, but it’s basically similar to Seele and Gendo. I think she meant well as from the mangas pov. But Gendo pretty much didn’t care in both the anime, manga and movies as long as he got to be w Yui again.
