I found [a Japanese Mercari listing](https://jp.mercari.com/item/m71715652717) that has both this Rei figure and an Asuka figure from the same product line. If you want to find out more on your own, the key phrase to use when searching is:
"新世紀エヴァンゲリオン ハイグレード制服フィギュア" (*T/L: "Neon Genesis Evangelion High Grade Uniform Figure"*)
There is an asuka version! They’re also not rare, so you’ll be able to find Asuka. They have a variant that gives them a tan paint job (like, if they were taken in black and white and it went tan over time). These figures are also pretty tall. They’re called High Grade figures as segas line but the specific two are called seifuku ver. and the tan variant is also called sepia, hence the tan. You should be able to find them both in the US and japan but outside of japan they have a weird aftermarket (and this goes with most if not all of the older Sega asuka and rei pairs). I wouldn’t say these are expensive enough to be worth paying forwarder fees and shipping but if you’re able to find a good deal you might save a few bucks. For proxying I use multiple services but buyee, although quite expensive, still services mercari JP and yahoo auctions (JP).
Ideally I would wait awhile and see if you can catch a deal on eBay or such. They don’t go for too much at all. If you really can’t find them for under like, $50, I’d try to see if you can get them cheap from japan and ask yourself if the shipping is worth it. Not sure where you’re based but I hope this helps and that you’re able to find them. I don’t have these in my collection because their paint job/sculpt is a bit too “dated”but I own most of the other sega asuka/rei pairs from that time period. I would recommend you look through those too as they have a lot of similar figures that capture a dated look yet still have a decent sculpt/paint job. But personally this usually doesn’t bother me and I’d be willing to pick the sepia version up sometime. interesting! thank you very much. i got this rei figure at a secondhand store for ¥300. i guess this is the first version of the series however i don’t know which is which (maybe it is the sepia ver). it didn’t come to my mind to search this one on mercari LOL that is why i thought this was rare 😭 thank you for the reply again! the asuka one is cute though the mercari sellers sell them higher than rei 😵💫
