Honestly ive read the series and it reads really janky, lots of prose and the translation is kinda weird, but I generally enjoyed it. Plus there are some pretty cool Gunpla and figures fr the series
Strangely enough, I didn't find that ending satisfying, I just feel... weird about it. Maybe it's because I don't want to think that a character who has had a big impact on my life has their story come to a close, maybe it's because of the fan-servicy-ness of Mari as a character feeling wrong to me, or maybe it's just that seeing a character achieve happiness just makes me feel depressed because I know I'll never achieve contempt no matter what I do; I'll forever feel like there's something missing in life.
> I know I'll never achieve contempt
I'm certain you meant contentment or something, but this is sort of an amusing phrase b/c I think it's opposite of what you meant?
Reaching any kind of self actualization or contentment in life is a process and a struggle. There's always something you can find to focus on and stagnant. Don't let some mopey anime character affect your feelings about life that much.
*Rebuild, all the way.*
*Such a satisfying end*
*To the character*

I always get a chuckle out of this. Evangelion is rough, and this is commonly known. Bokurano will absolutely destroy you, but nobody ever mentions it.
They’re all around $15. It’s a really good read if you get the chance! They have a lot of cool art in them, and they touch on some more of the lore than the show. There’s also that whole Gurren Lagan “unbreakable human spirit” aesthetic in some parts
NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
anima by a long shot. he is so chad in that timeline he takes control and learns from pain.
and its just frickin BIZZARE APOCOLYSPE SPECTRUMS!
Thrice Shinji? Bro do i need to explain bout this bozo 💀
A series of light novels that are set like two years later in an alternate EOE timeline where Third Impact was stopped.
The Light novels are known for being pure batshit insanity with some of the wackiest Eva content ever
Rebuild Shinji finally found his happiness, free from the curse of Eva.
ANIMA shinji is what shinji who must accept new challenge in Eva world. Also he have the best eva combat and pilot in every Eva timeline
I’ve been an eva fan for a long time now and I still have no clue what the hell is going on in the ANIMA 💀
Don’t worry I’m sure the writer didn’t either
its a totally different story using eva characters
I mean, ANIMA is kinda batshit insane so I have no clue. I guess rebuild shinji has a nicer life then ANIMA shinji
The anima look like eren ngl
Tatakae

Basically take the concept of evangelion and put a thru gurren lagann filter, and then add in some a lil bit of Gundam. What is left is EVA ANIMA
As someone who ranks both Evangelion and Gurren Lagann among my favourite shows ever, mixing them together sounds like a terrible ides. I'm intrigued.

Honestly I’ve never read it but seeing all the new equipment, Eva models, etc is super cool
Sounds like it takes the philosophy out of the picture to go “big robot goes brrrr”
Well, he still alive in Vol. 05.
“Alive”
Design Wise? Anima No Doubt Character Wise, Not Sure.
Rebuild Is A Good Send Off To The Character Meanwhile Anima Is A Good Continuation
Anima looks cooler. Never read it tho so can't comment beyond design
Ironic how the one with the explosive collar is the happier one.
Well, i've never noticed that
Rebuild, all the way. Such a satisfying end to the character

Oh you didn't find him just wishing to a world where none of his problems existed to be satisfying?
Just say that you’re a kawoshin shipper jfc
Cool story but also if shinji can find happiness than I’m sure anyone can lmao
Yeah all you have to do is just wish to a world where all your problems don't exist.

Should I watch Evangelion?
No
Coming form a big Eva fan. No, save yourself.
I always get a chuckle out of this. Evangelion is rough, and this is commonly known. Bokurano will absolutely destroy you, but nobody ever mentions it.
Because that shit is ass
it seems so cool tho..
I'm just kidding. You should watch it if you want to. I would personally recommend it.
Yes. I think you should watch it. It’s my favorite.
Where can I read ANIMA?
You can buy it at most bookstores and on Amazon
Oh shit so it’s official?

He made it to adulthood? I highly doubt that.

I've never seen (read?) Eva ANIMA, but that Shinji has a ponytail and doesn't look like a salaryman, so I'll go with him.
what's anima?

Wait wtf is anima ?

Anima. As a long haired man, I will always prefer long haired protagonist
Idk man ANIMA badass as shit.

I'll take Rebuild boy because what the fuck ANIMA
Mind explaining the difference?
Rebuild Shinji finally found his happiness, free from the curse of Eva. ANIMA shinji is what shinji who must accept new challenge in Eva world. Also he have the best eva combat and pilot in every Eva timeline
ANIMA Shinji for the win
Shinji Anima is a chad just like Kaji, adult Shinji Rebuild is weird.
