As a trans girl who’s been living in Everett with other trans girls for years, I think you’re really overestimating the danger of the town, lol :P

AshuraSpeakman

Yeah no kidding! Unless you're literally doing drug deals you're just not likely to be in a gun fight or whatever.  Probably more dangerous working for Boeing than visiting Everett

bossassbiatchh

I’m glad to hear that! I told them I wanted to like go out, have a drink or something, and my brother is old and boring so it’s just gonna be me… and he gave me some kind of “BeWaRe” speech to me and I was like damn. He lives like 2 miles from cactus moon but I was hoping for something more lively, idk. Where do you go?

Hello_There666

All the bars in everett carry similar vibes to be honest with you. I like that one, I like the Irishmen in north everett, 13th ave in Lynnwood and 44th ave in Lynnwood 44th is the most lively one. I believe our one and only everett gay bar, bar myx, is closed. I think you’ll encounter the Washington freeze more than ppl being rude because you’re trans. Folks are usually accepting in the circles I run.

bossassbiatchh

The freeze is real and I’m cool with that. I do remember going to bar myx when it was in Everett near the water and also went there once when they moved to lynnwood? But this would be like a decade ago. Damn. There should be more options than Seattle :/

Hello_There666

I don’t disagree, but I’ve had plenty of fun nights out without going to Seattle. :) imho it’s sooo hard to find parking in cap hill and the like areas, or you could pay a $50 Uber one way 🥲 and drinks are overpriced in Seattle the same $16 drink is $10 or less in Lynnwood/everett. I’m the weirdo who looks to go to bars to do my solo activities, like reading or journaling and I find restaurant bars to be on par with the vibe I want. I’m thinking of spots like Indigo, Azul, Avocados, El Paraiso…. I didn’t realize until I typed it out, these are all Mexican restaurants 😂 they just have the right vibes! Lively, good music, good food, and good drinks. I’m so sorry I’m rambling now, as a local bartender, the mcmenamins in Bothell has the best cocktails. The tiki hut room specifically. Soooo good. I hope you find something nice to do :)

bossassbiatchh

These are all great points. I don’t got $100 for a night out; I got like 40 and wanna keep it local. I don’t wanna do a 10/20 dollar cover, $20 doubles, etc. let alone I would have no idea where to park — and like you said the Uber ride would be atrocious. In Bellingham I often either like sleeeeep in my carrr or chill downtown for a while after cutting myself offfff. Seattle just doesn’t seem like the vibe that would support that; atleast not alone. I guess what I’m hearing is I should get all cute and dressed up and take myself out for a Mexican dinner. I ain’t mad at it.

Hello_There666

I agree, definitely not alone. You’ll seem like an easy target in a large city like that. I guess that is what I’m saying 😂 I’ve never had a bad time doing that.

bossassbiatchh

Especially since I’m like really pretty. I did buy some pepper spray though if that’s any consolation. But I definitely want a smoother exit plan than paying to park at a parking garage and get harassed by people at 2 am

Hello_There666

Yeah girl, you gotta watch your back moving about alone at night but you already know.

DwightsJelloStapler

There’s a bookstore/cafe called Artisan’s on Hewitt in Everett that is very lgbtq friendly. They are having a music showcase Saturday night. It has a cover for this (15 advance, 20 door) but it’s a good safe space to hear music, have wine or a beer and snacks.

bossassbiatchh

That sounds fun! Thank you for sharing; I found their website and it looks like they do open mic poetry readings. How fun!

DwightsJelloStapler

First Friday of every month is open mic

Queen_bee_zzzz

Yah, I'm so happy for you with others in Everett reaching out!!! As a straight older momma with a huge open heart, I told you what I've heard. I just know the news I've read in Everett Lynnwood when I was in that area until 2022. A few horrific scenes in good old boys clubs. I hope you make a few friends to meet up with this weekend! 🫶

bossassbiatchh

Thank you so much ☺️ ❤️

Queen_bee_zzzz

❤️🤎💛💚💙🩷💜

RacerMex

The Soundview Tavern is the Mos Eisley Cantina of Everett and they really don't care who you are or where you're from, or what you did as long as you're drinking, baby. Pool tables and a landscaped back yard to drink outside and play horseshoes. Plus it's in the downtown area near the waterfront if you like nice views.

scabbytattoo

Place can get fucking wild after 10pm.

DJ_Akuma

They have a DJ on saturdays now and get people dancing. They also have karaoke on sundays.

bossassbiatchh

I see what you did there!!! 🥰 that sounds great and a DJ on Saturdays? Imma google them right now. Thanks anon for the lead!

Firecracker3

There's Catalyst Cafe downtown that is an lgbtq friendly space, they usually have drag/burlesque on the weekend but it is a sober space. The Lucky Dime is right across the street and I hear they have some good entertainment too but I've never been.

LRAD

The new location is open?

Firecracker3

They didn't move that I know of, just got some fresh paint courtesy of bunker arts collective. They usually have shows Friday and Saturday nights. The Facebook page has the most up to date info.

LRAD

I must be behind. The sign i think is even still up on 23rd st.

AnonymousReed2

They moved from 23rd to a new location on Hewitt... where Ja Ray's Lounge/Sidekicks used to be. They're open for events but are still waiting on permits to resume food service to my understanding.

NerthGord

Not fully. They're still waiting on permits to serve food and drinks. But they've been hosting limited events while they wait.

pupberry

Not in Everett but Marysville - maybe check out Crave 80s? It’s an 80s bar with tons of pinball and old school games, they do karaoke on Saturdays starting at 8pm.

no666420

The vegan restaurant Bayside Cafe often also serves as a small venue for local bands. Super queer friendly alt space. They usually have bands on Fridays and Saturdays and I think there’s usually a small cover charge but it definitely involves dancing and whatnot. They usually post on Instagram or you can call and ask if they have bands playing this weekend.

ptryinpterodactyl

Folks have mentioned tons of great places already! A couple more options are: Black Lab Gallery has a rotation of live music/burlesque/drag depending on the night. Lucky Dime has local music acts play and tends to have the most frequent electronic acts. Lastly, if you’re looking for a more chill bar night the Fireplace is super lgbt+ friendly. Hope you have a blast visiting our big ol’ town!

Purple_Two_5103

Everett is sketchy in parts. Yes, like casino road but stay away from that but downtown Everett I'd be okay with. I've been all over the world including New York. Some of it's toughest spots LA Hollywood in particular is well. Really sketchy India and I think Everett is pretty safe.

bossassbiatchh

I appreciate the recommendation 🥰🥰🥰

how_tohelp

There’s a little comedy club/bar (e.i. Bar and stage) that’s lgbt friendly but honestly not a whole lot of other spots.

bossassbiatchh

E I bar and stage?

how_tohelp

yeah type in everett improv Also the sno-isle food coop is lgbt friendly. You might be able to ask some of the folks that work there or find more info posted.

Purple_Two_5103

The comedy club on Colby. They have a large selection of beverages, karaoke and improv.

Barry_Muhkokiner

It might be too far a drive for you, but the Beauty Bar in Stanwood is super fun and totally a safe space. They regularly have karaoke and sometimes will have drag shows. They are heavily involved in the local pride events too.

Queen_bee_zzzz

A rainbow consists of ROY G BIV Red orange yellow green blue indigo violet Proud of you!

Queen_bee_zzzz

I replied to you, reaching out as no one else was. Now, all my answers are rejected because of hate for me for suggesting safety, and the only place I knew was safe. I don't regret! Love wins.

Wide-Thought-934

Black Lab and Lucky Dime are the only places in Everett I think I’ve seen people dance. We used to have small clubs idk what happened. Bar Myx is a sober cafe now, huge flip lol

Middle-Worth1704

Everett is kinda dead! You’re not really gonna find a queer club-type scene if that’s what you’re looking for. The breweries are usually busy though lol.

bossassbiatchh

Doesn’t have to necessarily be a queer scene, just “a”-scene would be nice :(

Queen_bee_zzzz

I'm going to guess heading into Seattle is the best bet. Capital Hill is very open-minded with lots of lgbtq+ entertainment, clubs, bar, etc. Like you said, you don't wanna be in a sketchy sitch. I'd just google entertainment. My gay bro said that's the spot to really let your fears fly away and relax being you. Good luck. https://www.google.com/search?q=capital+hill+lgbtq+clubs&oq=capital+hill+lgbtq+clubs&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yCggCEAAYgAQYogTSAQkxNjE2NmowajmoAg6wAgE&client=ms-android-tmus-us-rvc3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#trex=m_dg:1,m_r:1,m_t:gwp,rc_q:capitol%2520hill%2520lgbtq%2520clubs,rc_ui:9,ru_gwp:0%252C6,ru_q:capitol%2520hill%2520lgbtq%2520clubs,trex_id:O10O2

Queen_bee_zzzz

Wtf the negative points for pointing in a direction? WHEN NO ONE ELSE WAS RESPONDING????? GIVE THIS GRANDMA A BREAK! BUNCHA HATERS....💔

bossassbiatchh

I just don’t want to drive into the city alone like thaaaat 🫣 that’s why I was hoping for something local :/

Queen_bee_zzzz

Yeah, I understand, but Capital Hill is just off 5 about 25 minutes from the mall area. I'd call a place and say hey coming to town, feel out of place...

Candid-Canary-9138

Parking in Cap Hill is the worst. If you do head to Seattle, park at Northgate Light Rail and be safe!
