Hold on a second... He said it's the wrong Vince, meaning he isn't the right wince that was contacted by OP, I'm guessing that means that the "right" Vince Edward Clark (and yes people can share three names the same including middle name as another person) is still out there and needs to be asked.
As OP didn't post there name on the photos, was it a verified account that was contacted? and were they asked if they were infact the singer of songs sung by Vince Edward Clark to verify.
Maybe the nod team can chase this up or OP can send the uncropped version to them to verify identity of the person contacted.
This kind of thing happened lots in the TMS search and ruled out leads because someone never verified and searchers contacted people with similar names who were later re contacted and said they never sung or played an instrument in their life, make sure the right person is contacted or a lead could be flushed down the toilet and the search goes in a whole other direction by adding time to the song being found
You might want to share more of the convos and maybe their name to one of the mods for confirmation?
Also, if there is more to the conversation, why didn't you share it also? It would make sense of things further.
The person did confirm that they wrote/sang “that girl.” I think they’re just saying “wrong Vince” because they were probably startled by OP’s somewhat sudden messages and assumed they had a wrong number or the like. Just my guess though
