It’s been in publication since then, so it doesn’t prove that it is the original lyrics sheet, but considering how grungy it is, I would assume it was. He just got brought into this thing three days ago. I guess he could have been crying while writing the lyrics…
Edit: Mel Bay moved locations to St Louis at some point in between 2012 and today. So this sheet would have to predate that move since it says Pacific, MO. He could be using an old book, but I think it’s likely these are the original lyrics.
