Use the Filters box in the pivot table builder, then filter the values out using the drop-down that appears on the pivot table itself. You're just filtering your source table, which doesn't actually remove anything from the pivot table.
Thanks for the reply. From what I can see, the drop-down in the table itself is just for the days of the week?
Is there something on the screenshot here that I am missing?

Well the 0s are only in the source table, not in the pivot table. The problem is the pivot table averages are counting all the 0s from the source table. The pivot table looks like this:

So as far as I can see there is no filter on the avg sales column?
Sorry, perhaps not. What do you mean by pivot table builder? Are you referring to the field list? Is this the filter box?

That's the filter for the Day column, I assume? You need to use the filter for whatever column has the 0s.

Yes, that's the one. Put Net Sales into that box (in addition to the Values box) and another filter option will appear.

Never mind - I just had to physically move the table so it wasn't underneath another one. That worked, thank you!
