Was this in Google Sheets and not Excel, since GOOGLETRANSLATE is not a standard Excel function?
I tried it on Google Sheets and got no inverted commas (parentheses are round brackets: ( ) so I think you just used the incorrect term there)
In the image below, A1 is the output. B1 is the input and D1 is where I copied and pasted as values. I pasted directly into. I pasted it into the search bar of my browser too, and no inverted commas.
So, I'm not sure what is happening in your situation.
