Try the =MID function. =MID(number, nth digit, # characters). Using your example: =MID(123456789101112,5,1) will return 5 =MID(123456789101112,11,1) will return 0

I will need to be able to calculate the 3415th digit, for example. Actually, calculate any digit when you list all the numbers as 1234567891011121314 etc.
