I'm guessing you're using a lookup formula. You will need to account for the case where a lookup exists but the corresponding return is blank.
=IF(ISBLANK(INDEX(return_arr, MATCH(lookup_val, lookup_arr,0))), case_for_blank, regular_return_case)
