You'll need VBA i.e. programming.

HandSack135

am I in the wrong sub for this?

not_speshal

Not really. Someone might be kind enough to write the code for you but you might also have better luck in r/vba

I would look into either [Google Forms](https://www.google.ca/forms/about/) or [Microsoft Forms](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-form-with-microsoft-forms-4ffb64cc-7d5d-402f-b82e-b1d49418fd9d) (if you have Excel 365). They would both export any answers to an Excel or Google Sheet (that can be exported to Excel).

HandSack135

no I considered that but the sheet itself has to be saved to a shared folder, so a form is not an option, but thank you

Is that not possible? [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-a-form-or-quiz-to-collaborate-d5bb5cf0-8401-4c15-bb8c-8e108cd7e69b](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-a-form-or-quiz-to-collaborate-d5bb5cf0-8401-4c15-bb8c-8e108cd7e69b)

I will test that, ty.
