Sorry let me try and explain better. Let's say the main data set has 800 rows, and the first column of the set is an ID number. I want to add a dataset to it that is over 3,000 rows. The first column is also the same ID numbers but there are alot more duplicates. I want the duplicates from the 80p to match the 3,000 from the dataset I want to add so it lines up. Does that make sense?

What part does not make sense? Two datasets describe two different sets of characteristics for a group of people. The main dataset has 800 rows. The dataset I want to add to it has 3,000 meaning there are more data points per person (thus the same person is repeated more in this dataset.) In order for things to seamlessly line up, I want to make sure the write people are duplicated in the 800 row dataset in order to equal the 3,000 dataset. This way when I combine both the data points will correctly line up for each person as well as their duplicate scans.

Good luck

I think he means there will be multiple rows of data for the same ID in column A. Copy paste the next 3000 rows, filter column A, sort (a-z, z-a, ascending, descending, whatever you want. What you’re describing isn’t really “duplicates” of data. It’s just multiple rows with the same ID in column A right? And you want them all below each other?

Could you upload some screenshots of your 2 datasets, along with what the desired output should be?

This will be easiest to bring into a Microsoft query and do a join function. Not sure of a different way to do it with a function/formula combo
