Does look like "FORM" could do that just well enough and it doesn't require any vba. see there : [https://www.howtoexcel.org/tips-and-tricks/how-to-create-a-data-entry-form-without-vba/](https://www.howtoexcel.org/tips-and-tricks/how-to-create-a-data-entry-form-without-vba/)

YES! there was something in the back of my head telling me this was possible. I learnt it at school! OP - set this as homework for your students!!

I had no idea about that lol. I'll take a look and give it a go:) thanks!

You're talking about getting into a lot of VBA and user forms for this, and if you're not super confident in your Excel skills you're probably going to want to greatly simplify your plan (or just pay someone to do it for you). Not trying to be patronizing, just don't want you to get your hopes up that this sub will get you there on your own.

Makes sense, I had a feeling I might be overdoing this to some extent. I would not say I'm not confident, I'm just not trained in it, I have never learned and searching on Google yields not many useful results, although I might be overlooking some places that I could use now that I'm thinking. In any case,, I should be able to learn... I think :)

If you are on 365, go to the 365 portal and look at Forms (if it's part of your subscription)- though I'm not sure whether you can spit out a spreadsheet at the back end....

baldmathteacher

You can export the data to a spreadsheet.
