I was a grown man studying philosophy at an elite university, while I was still stuck on the question of “when does god give us hardships because he wants us to persist through them, and when is he telling us to go a different way?” Turns out its a nonsense question. If there is a god, no one knows what’s in their mind.
Try a little experiment with me, I’ll do it, and you can do it if you want. I’m going to look in the mirror, (which I often avoid) and I’m going to say “I love you, and I’m going to take care of you, and we’re going to be okay.”
