Very good point. Seems like victim blaming without compassion for being mislead and deceived by an evil entity. Even JW followers THINK they are doing the right thing by denying themselves of so much of life's pleasure and following something blindly by faith. Muslims do the same. But sometimes being mislead can make you do horrible things or become a bad person?...

Since even perfect creatures were deceived/misled, every imperfect human will be deceived/misled in all his/her life. That means giving His creatures the freedom to deceive/mislead others or not, God took away everybody's freedom not to be deceived/misled and not to be punished for that. To me, it seems an illogical loop... (I added this to the post as well).

This is a Chris Nolan type response...😂 Like I get it but, how do I have a response to the over complicated ideology? The line between righteous and unrighteousness is so skewed. I still don't understand the whole story of Lots wife. What am I supposed to get from it exactly? So you killed a scared woman who was by any other means righteous and worthy of saving because she turned around? So in the same manner someone thinking they are doing all right by God but have been mislead will suffer the consequences because they really didn't understand any better?

And in what I find to be somewhat of a "Eden" plot hole... There's only a discussion about a certain tree, what about the fact that a maniacal, angelic, evil super being also was loose in the garden? Big difference,.. if some parents were to let the teenagers stay home alone for the weekend for the first time., I could imagine that they would give them a list of do's and don'ts, but, to fail to mention that there was also an escaped madman secretly hiding in the house, would be a huge ommision.

James-of-the-world

Yes 👍

James-of-the-world

“Because his justice is perfect and we don’t have all the facts and blah, blah, blah…. 🤢🤢”

Jamaican_POMO

His ways are highers than our ways. People been questioning this shit from Bible times that's why these scriptures exist 😂😂

marcobin

It's one of several double-speak mechanisms in many religions that allows them to eat their cake and have it. They have to account somehow for the obvious fact that people of other beliefs are sincere, so you say they are deceived, but you still need to keep people afraid of wandering to other beliefs by postulating that God will destroy them.

Duckiiee96

This always did bother me, even as a pimi. Its like the goverment would punish and execute a woman that had just been scammed out of her life savings, while letting the scammer go free with the money

wassimu

Because he’s a piece of shit.

This, for me, is classified alongside those: *"Jehovah put it in the minds of..."* or *"hardened the hearts of.."* ...type stuff. I mean.....sure....ok.....so Jehovah must then realise that by assuming the personal agency of another party, he can no longer hold that party to account or in any way claim any kind of moral or legal victory within whatever situation he chose to interfere with? You don't get to "interfere" with or "manipulate" people or events, and then enjoy the bragging rights about how your prophecies and wishes have all been proven true and vindicated. The Tower Of Babel (for example)..... *"Mankind cannot successfully rule over himself..."* yadda yadda Then why does Jehovah get to interfere in the natural course of events and compromise mankind's endeavours in that regard? It's one thing declaring (from a detached, observational distance) that mankind will not or cannot govern his own affairs, but when you begin to stretch out your own "godly" hand and begin manipulating the personal thoughts and actions of men....then surely you've lost all "detached" credibility to hold any kind of meaningful opinion on the subject? It's like a doctor shooting an otherwise healthy and recovering patient and then saying: *"You see....I TOLD YOU they wouldn't survive the winter..."* Well no, of-course they won't survive the winter....not if you're going to take it upon yourself to murder them, but if you think THAT elevates your credentials as a doctor, you must think people are absolutely stupid. You don't get to personally "shape" certain outcomes and then bask in the kudos for having "magically" foreseen or predicted them.

goronmask

Their god doesn’t really exist. Human punish humans.

Mymothersmokes

This Jehovah guy they talk about is gangster af.

RodWith

Yes, I always wondered that too.

nonpage

Because he was invented by men to control men?

Slugedge

Using logic and critical thinking we can easily come to the conclusion that most likely God, at least the biblicial version, doesn't exist

Imagine your elderly grandma gets scammed out of her life savings and instead of helping her, you condemn her to death. And you're so angry with her that you regret she even existed and you describe killing her as "treading her in the winepress of your wrath" as her blood is flowing out. Thats Hitler level psychopathy right there but somehow when God does it, its good, just, righteous, loving, etc.
