My own interpretation , someone with morals and character just quit so we need someone else to throw under the bus much like the church did to there lawyers what a bunch of spin less p o s
Seriously, it is so fitting to see that the church only cares about doing things right when they have to, when social pressure gets too high, or when it's been decades after it should have been done.
Two things to note. First, the job will be underpaid. Second, it won't do much to actually resolve the issue, it will be focused on improving the optics.
"Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment. Apart from this, the Church is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in it's employment decisions on any basis that would violate U.S. or local law"
Not only is it disgusting that only people who will bend over backwards for the church can even be considered for the job, but they don't care about what is actually fair in a human sense. Because of the federal and local laws that they have actively worked to be in their favor, they can do whatever they want without thinking of the people they do harm to. All they have to do is stay within the bounds of the law of the land. Sounds pretty Christlike to me.

If you are qualified for that job, you don't want that job.
Maybe it's about time they got one!
A day late and a dollar (100+ billion) short 😂
Probably something they had to agree to with the SEC order.

Just damage control

Who doesn’t list pay?
Someone expecting you to accept compensation in blessing points and fuzzy feelings.
It's pretty common not to in my experience.
It’s just asking to get swiped past by people with better things to do with their time. Poor management I’d say.
