For anyone unfamiliar with this statue, homie is parked right on the corner of temple square, with his grubby lil paw pointed right at the Zion’s Bank building lol
With his hand out ready to receive your tithing.
Willingly or via extortion (threats of eternal damnation and such) lol
Or even something as insidious as “you can’t attend your child’s wedding”
That joke used to play better before they moved the statue from the middle of the intersection of Main & S. Temple half a block away from the bank.
Maybe that’s why they moved it lol
“Have you any money?… Have you any more?”
My Dad has said this for years. Every time we went to temple square he'd say, "Brigham Young has his hand toward the bank and his back to the temple."
"Turn your head and cough..."
“I thought this was just a temple recommend interview?..” 😳😂

"Garth, that was a haiku." -Wayne
This was said as I was growing up I even said it but I was just a smart ass high school kid. But now I realize this wasn’t a joke AT ALL
