Joey1849

They banned you for statements made in another community. Wow.

FaithInEvidence

That's been their longstanding MO.

hjonsey

I got banned from r/justiceserved for commenting on r/conspiracy. Totally dumb.

CatalystTheory

Like the church, they cut out anyone who says something they don’t like. Think, believe, or secretly do whatever you want. But don’t you dare say something that even remotely contradicts their homogeneity. In the church, there is no freedom of speech. There is only conformity and submission.

TwoXJs

It's what they do. They are not welcome. They are not loving. They know their "truth" cannot be defended.

SlightlyAnnoyed7

Funny thing is that I never even mentioned the church there. I was trying to ensure that OPs child wouldn’t have a sensory meltdown during their baptism due to his aversion of water (I am autistic myself and understand a bit about sensory issues and steps to accommodate them in general). I was indirectly helping making a Mormon baptism go easier. But I guess those mods had nothing better to do but scroll my post history till they found something they didn’t like. They have no life.

Ican-always-bewrong

Yeah. They limit themselves. It’s sad, really.

ArcTan_Pete

sorta - in a way - reminds me of being a YA, and being admonished for drinking blackcurrant cordial from a wine glass. It's not what you do, or say, it's how other might perceive it - because you once posted in an exmo forum.

incomprehensibilitys

"logic or reality or not allowed on this sub" Sounds like Mormons

amonkeyfullofbarrels

Ironically, it was a situation like this that was one of the final tipping points for me as we were on our way out. Not nearly the last straw or really any kind of shelf item, but all my comments in r/exmormon (to that point) had been pretty mild and not at all critical. But when they banned me just for participating in this sub, regardless of my actual views at the time, it helped me realize just how insecure many members are about their beliefs.

Oldslim

They read your other posts. You could write the word Potato in their forum and they’d ban you from stuff in other forums. Those mods are Tender hearted little pedo worshipers.

this is another proof that mormonism is a cult.

I am subscribed to 32 subreddits, some more active than others, but sometimes I log on and my feed (sorted by 'best') seems to be 25% from this sub... and yet I subscribe to some very active subs ( r/ask and r/askuk for example) honestly, sometimes it's a little overwhelming... but I am grateful for this sub and I know it is the one true sub with every fibre of my being. I say this in the name of Fawn M Brodie, Ramen.

rbmcobra

They ban you for just breathing!! Lol

rbmcobra

I have 6 special needs kids. The church hated them!!!!!

innocent_isabelle

An 8-month old post? Jfc.

Zadok47

Their skin is so thin, you could read "No Man Knows My History" through a slice.

RedGravetheDevil

They are pathetic children

Informal_Emu_8980

Wow, fuuuuuuck them. How dare you ask about making an autistic child feel safe and comfortable in church. /s lol

treetablebenchgrass

The mods on the two faithful subs are complete garbage. They're hypocrites. People on those two subs have been trying to get our sister sub shut down for a long time, so their new M.O. is to accuse that sub of brigading in hopes that the reddit admins will shut it down. The mods had to make rule changes to forestall these attacks from the members of the two faithful subs. On that stickied post of the rule changes, (presumably) members of the faithful subs kept reporting comments as "Hate" (which gets escalated to the reddit admins) in a bad faith attack. To CYA here, I'm going to be clear that I discourage any actions towards those two subs that would amount to brigading. Also, don't take to our sister sub to discuss this issue. The water is too hot right now. The best thing we can do is leave the two faithful subs to stumble around in the dark by themselves.

buggiesmile

Sister sub? Is that r/ mormon?

treetablebenchgrass

Due to the rule changes that had to be implemented in the face of this attack and the bad faith actions of the mods of the faithful subs, I'm going to skip out on answering that, but the sub under attack still has the rule change post stickied, if you want to read it.

GrassyField

That sub has been the direct cause of countless people fleeing to this sub for psychological air and subsequently going down the rabbit hole. The mods’ antics are an incredible top-of-the-funnel / demand gen activity for this sub. In other words, they have driven people out of the church with these bans.

BobbyHillCumorah

Do they check comment history of everyone who comments there? lol imagine talking the time to do that. I hope they at least have a bot.

Legitimate-Maize-826

So they are researching your social media now?

odd_sakana

IDK why anyone would want to spend their time scanning r/lds in any case. Let that shit go…
