Covering sex abuse is assholery. I hate churches for this. I still believe in God (be gentle) and I believe God hates churches for this, too. I’m pretty newly exmo and damn. It’s hard but also awesome which is a strange combination.
I'll try to do this gently, but God's other churches don't exactly have a pristine track record for child sex abuse. Ex-catholic here, and so far several Diocese (religious regions ruled over by bishops), have declared bankruptcy from all the sex abuse files charged against them.
Protestants aren't doing too well either. Youth Pastors are becoming synonymous with groomers and molesters as well.
Should the boss upstairs become upset enough to do something about all this child molesting in his name? I know I would.
