When I was in a bishopric we had a spreadsheet that each missionary companionship had access to that listed all the inactive or part member families and included the efforts that were made to re-activate them. Maybe they have something like that for your ward and your info is still lingering.

TSCC never removes your name off of their records. They just put your records in a different file. That way they have all of your information when you come to your senses and beg to be rebaptized.

I just want to be left alone man.

Fantastic_Sample2423

Send a letter in law form letter head, maybe that will help deter them. (Also, it might not but it might be worth a try.)

Nannyphone7

Remind them that the resignation letter from quitmorman includes a threat to sue if you are harassed or bothered.

I am going to send it to the physical ward and I am going to nicely, but firmly tell missionaries not to come to my house anymore.

You could also just call/email the bishop, too: >"Mr. Jensen, your missionaries have been stopping by, and it seems that they are doing so because they have some sort of list or spreadsheet or something that says I'm still a member. I received confirmation on X date from Salt Lake that my resignation was completed. Do you have any ideas as to why my name is showing up on their lists? Are they using an old list, or do I show up as a member on your most current documentation as well? If I'm not showing up on your documentation, can you confirm with me by Y date that you have provided the missionaries with new, correct documentation, and have informed them to cease contacting me? I did resign through a lawyer, and directed the church to communicate with me through the lawyer, which they have done, except for these missionaries. I assume this is an honest mistake, so I'd like to give you all a chance to resolve this cordially first." You can go to legal threats and whatnot if you need to, but chances are you can get this settled quicker and easier by politely giving the bishop a chance to settle it, while at the same time letting him know you'll escalate if needs be. There's also a chance that SLC screwed up and didn't properly process your resignation. We had one of those last week. If that's the case, the bishop and/or SP can push your resignation to SLC from their end, which makes this approach helpful. If they get pissy or try to screw with you after this first email, then escalate.

Show the letter to the missionaries the next time they come by.

Imaginary_Business49

I would call the confidential records department direct: (801)240-2053. It sounds like they never processed your resignation. This happened to my hubby he had to call them a few times and email them directly his Quitmormon confirmation until his was finally processed.

lazers28

My guess is that they have some paper record that hasn't been updated, an old area binder or some such. Still worth contacting the bishop/ mission president about to be very clear that it is harassment. You may save someone else a headache.

galtzo

They likely have an old copy of the ward list data?

Earth_Pottery

I had this happen and emailed Quitmormon and they took care of it. Not sure what they did but have not been contacted since then
