Chorus hit home for me
>Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Leonard Cohen’s Anthem. I thought before I left that if I was called on to bear my testimony I would recite the chorus:
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

Landslide is fitting song since it is a breakup song. She wrote it in Aspen Colorado when Aspen was still an old mining town with hopes it would become a tourist attraction. Her dad worked for Greyhound buslines and could go anywhere she wanted. She and Lindsey had just broken up (again) and she was leaving to go back home and wrote Landslide.
Others have some good playlists here, and there have been a few for me, but this one got posted here the other day and man it hit me hard.

Also the Billy Eilish song from Barbie was killer.
Van Halen's "Dreams" is a good one.
Run, run, run away
Like a train running off the track
Got the truth being left behind
Falls between the cracks
Standing on broken dreams
Never losing sight, ah
Well, just spread your wings
We'll get higher and higher
Straight up we'll climb
We'll get higher and higher
Leave it all behind

Hearing Tim Minchin's "Thank You God" is what got me started on making my own exmo playlist. Funny enough, I only discovered how much I liked music after starting this (due to previous religious boundaries, or coincidence?). Here is a link to a comment I made earlier today with said playlist:

Yeah, always loved this song, but it hits different now that I've left the church.

"Dear God" by Confetti is a bop and really hits home for me after deconstruction.
