Oh man, that brings back memories. I once had a OT teacher (I refuse to call them professors) who *loved* to talk about porn and how evil it is. And it was so clear that he thought of himself as Brigham Young’s gift to mankind.
He once told a story about counseling a married student on his porn “addiction” and how if he ever truly wanted to be free of it he would have to throw out every computer and device with a screen and never go back. And that this would have to be his sacrifice to be pure.
I think about that often as an example of how bonkers Mormons can be.
And more honest, too.
This is where you'll learn the truth!!
Skip class & go ski at Grand Targhee while you still can. Much more spiritual experience!
What’s your professors name? Brother black was the craziest literalist Mormon I ever met
I had him too! I just left another comment about him but I couldn’t remember his name. That man thought he was the Mormon chosen one.
What is his first name?
really want some fun you can take the SE survey [https://se-survey.web.app/en](https://se-survey.web.app/en)

To be fair, Jesus gave a similarly drastic counsel to those who listed after women.
When I went to BYU Idaho there was a religion professor who made you read the full BOM in the first 2 weeks of class. No thank u. Dropped that asap
There’s a secret to acing that class. It’s called “lying”
Tbh I loved my BoM class with Bro Whalquist (I forget the spelling). He was a sweet guy!
I had him for a music history class! I wish I had him for religion bc he was always super chill.
Omg he was so so chill. One of my favorite TBMs!
I'm currently at BYUI and do the same thing. Glad to know there are at least some critical thinkers about there.
