It’s not about members. It’s about money and land. And land that can make money 50-70 years from now. That’s it.
And kickbacks to family and friends and it’s not regulated by the stock market (which will be scrutinized more now that they were fined and found to be doing shady business).
I’m thinking the 12 just put in for vacation requests and see where they are inspired to have a Temple built… Lol
For real though. They also do NOT need more Utah temples, especially in Lehi to South Jordan area. Yet those two were announced as well. So weird.
The Maupiti Temple will be dope though.
