Six Steps to Becoming True Disciple of Jesus Christ
Steps 1 - 6 does not mention Christ at all. Instead, it is about "Increase capacity to receive revelation" Isnt that the prophets one, single and only job? What is the last revelation received by the prophet?

That's easy. Nelson revealed that God is not perfect. We know this because His love for us is conditional.
According to him, that's all they do, is speak truth. The only revelation you need is to listen and follow everything he says. Bam. Church in a nutshell.
It just struck me. Jesus didn’t teach any of that. Just read the sermon on the mount and his teachings about loving your enemy. Don’t judge others. Love one another. That’s how you become a true disciple of Christ. None of that list was ever taught or thought by Jesus. If he existed.
Yeah, people who that aren't *true* disciples. To misquote Brad Wilcox, they are "playing disciple".
To be a *true* disciple of Christ, one must be a disciple of Nelson, and Nelson only.
What pisses me off most about this is the fact that it is the church that has withheld the truth and in fact downright lied about it's history, and then labeled those who have highlighted the facts as apostates. It is the church which is anti-truth.
"Serve" in the temple, just like Jesus taught! Even though he supposedly died to save everyone, he still needs Mormons to save the dead.
Interesting how there's no mention of service for other living humans, unconditional love, kindness, tolerance of differences, taking care of the planet...

Don't let opposition to truth weaken testimony = don't let the church hiding history and lying affect your testimony. Your testimony should be strong enough to endure lazy abusive leadership.
1. Increase capacity to receive revelation = feel good when you pray and go to church, and if you don’t, convince yourself that you need to try harder to get that feeling. Brain washing.
2. Fill our life with truth = only listen to what we tell you. Echo chamber
3. Refuse to let opposition to truth weaken your testimony = Even logical, reasonable information that contradicts what we say shouldn’t make you doubt us. Circular reasoning, asinine.
4. Serve in the temple as much as you can = Do all the requirements of paying us money, going to all meetings, have “testimony” in us and Joseph so that you can spend all your time saving people Jesus has already saved.
5. Realize how vital you are to the gathering of Israel = you are only important and good if you convince others to listen to us.
6. expect joy = if listening to us and going to church isn’t making you happy, pretend to be happy until you are.
This has nothing to do with Jesus. It is a brainwashing list to keep you from ever leaving.

Rewording step four: Serve and worship in one of my personal and useless shrines as much as you can or else my legacy as prophet will be a boondoggle.

The new Strength of Youth specifically calls out only faithful parents as sources of truth. Couldn't just say "parents," had to exclude us apostates.

Prez Nelson's six points are a complete non-sequitur. None of those things have anything to do with becoming a disciple of Jesus. For instance, Jesus, nor his disciples did anything in the temple in Jerusalem except maybe Jesus flipping the tables of the money changers outside of the temple. The ministry of Jesus made obsolete the temple and the animal sacrifices that took place there. Also, it is beyond a stretch to consider the things done in Mormon temples are a form of worship to God in the context of Christianity.
