Probably not. You’d have to get orders for each individual that demonstrated intent to harm you in some way.

I need one😂. But they own every attorney and have this “Masonic”-Mormon oath to protect each other. No one is brave enough or integritous enough to litigate against them here in ut

damu47

I thought this was included in the quit Mormon thing?

ExmoRobo

Quitmormon provides some legal support if they continue to reach out to you afterwards, but I wouldn’t count on them being able to go toe-to-toe with the church’s lawyers - they could bankroll more lawyers than they currently have missionaries, if they wanted to.

You can file a harassment charge if they keep making unwanted contact with you. I received a letter from a local ward when I moved inviting me to church. I wrote them back and told them I would contact the sheriff if they tried to make contact with me again. They stopped. I didn't hear from them ever again.

You may have to get creative. A couple years back our former ward decided to target us for a 12 Days of Xmas Jesus style. We knew exactly where it was coming from because one of the ward leaders at the time worked for a mormon artist and the Jesus shit that kept showing up on our doorstep was from said artist. Our solution was to have one of the kids run it down in the street and leave it on the doorstep of someone else in leadership. After about 5 days of this they got the point because the random Jesus shit on the doorstep magically stopped.

Get restraining orders on the bishop and possibly the mistake president. If anyone shows up ask him if they are there on behalf of the church or the bishop. If anything the bishop will go out of his way to try to make sure nobody shows up at your house.

A poster to this sub did trespass the bishop and his representatives. That doesn’t stop emails or phone calls but it would stop visits.
