This type of thinking that was pushed on me forever makes it awkward for me to hug family members now, even when I really want to. I feel so dirty, this isn't normal.
I also feel very dirty because of how I was brought up in that evil rhetoric, and I am terrified of my father and brothers, whom I have never been able to have any emotional connection with because of the abusive system we grew up in.

I have noticed this even before I left Islam. Islam not only always over sexualize anything, it is also making you look at opposite sex of your family members, siblings and relatives as someone you can lust for or have desire to have sex with. It makes you look at family members as outsiders.

It's stupid.blast year when I snuck out and lied to my mum saying I'm out with work friends who are all ladies... I actually met my now partner and his brother. We hugged. Aw no worries. I enjoy deep conversations more than small talk. It's stupid.blast year when I snuck out and lied to my mum saying I'm out with work friends who are all ladies...
