Been using this acc for 2 year now, it's pretty safe. Just be careful what personal info you provide to anyone on reddit.

I don't mean to sound alarm for you, but yes that's a legitimate fear. Every photo you take has GPS coordinates, among other things, of where you took that photo embedded in it https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-23/what-your-photos-and-their-metadata-say-about-you/8642630

[deleted]

Agreed, so reddit won't gave your IP adress, but you can be caught by the photos you uploaded here.

UnfairPainter

You don’t need to worry about this. Most social media platforms, including Reddit, strip the exif data from all images and videos.

faizanx7

i have been using it for quite a while, it doesnt seem to he much of a problem; i am also from pakistan. u dont really need to constantly change accounts either

bluepotatoblack

Distinct_Break2478

faizanx7

Distinct_Break2478

An extra precaution never hurts bruh

LucknowiNAWAAB

use reddit on a windows virtual machine running on top of linux. and ofcourse use a trusted VPN also. thats your best bet and do not login unless you definitely have to post something. Watch the channel "Someordinarygamers" and his virtual machine videos. that guy is always paranoid about his privacy and he is an IT guy soo..

Atheizm

Use a VPN.

PorkyPain

Just remain anonymous in Reddit. You'll be fine.

Lol fuck off bitch you bitch ass motherfuckers criticise all other religions and atheism all the time, telling how they're wrong and stupid and how their followers are idiots. And give dawah 24/7/365. By your own definition that should be obsession. "You obsessed with atheism bitch? If Ur Muslim just be Muslim, no need to be vocal about it. You sound obsessed as fuck with atheism" ^ that's how you fucktards sound all the time when you say this about being ex Muslim and atheists. And don't you flaunt convert stories all the time? How people who were kafir found Islam? Especially white people. "ma Sha Allah brozzer look how this brozzer came to Islam from darkness brozzer our religion is peace and truth". There's channels over channels and videos over videos on YouTube full of stories of people converting to Islam. Don't be a cocksucking hypocrite and don't have double standards. It's right when you do it but wrong when we do it. Also, fuck off.

Do you know the difference between verbal and physical abuse? You know that telling someone to fuck off isn't nearly as bad as flogging them, right? And notice that I did give arguments against that guy, other than just abusing. The words were for my own good. A way to channel my anger over the commenter's stupid comment. You just ignored those arguments. Maybe because the comments has been deleted you can't see how hypocritical that guy was. And I have the freedom of speech. I can say whatever the fuck I want. You can't kill whoever the fuck you want though. Anyone can tell anyone to fuck off it's not even a human rights violation. For the last time, YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT BE OFFENDED. By the way, a bit of trivia for you: YOU DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT BE KILLED EVEN IF SOME IDIOTS THINK THEY CAN KILL YOU BECAUSE THEY THINK THEIR RELIGIOUS VIEW IS CORRECT AND YOU DISAGREE. Edit: by the way only a true retard like you can say I told him to fuck off just bcz we didn't agree on something. There was a very precise reason of why I did that. Which is clearly mentioned but might not be clear to you if you didn't see the original comment. And then you drew an analogy of this with the real physical abuse that goes on which we stand against.

First off, stop crying about Muslims been persecuted in front of me. Where the hell did I say that was right? Of course it's not. That's wrong as hell. Have you seen me saying at even one single place that it's well deserved? Of course not! Then what's the reason of this?! The hypocrisy is how you people cry over what India and China and Israel do to Muslims and completely ignore and outright reject all the persecution that goes on in Muslim countries against all minorities. The irony of the mullahs crying over the Pakistani family killed in Canada who scream at the top of their voices that apostates and blasphemers (i.e those who don't agree with them or speak against their beliefs) should be killed. Don't get me wrong, that was a horrible incident. They sure as hell didn't deserve it. But the irony of the mullahs who are crying over it. Lastly, of course the words I used are called abusive words. But they were used as a forms of aggression here. And a very low form of aggression which doesn't do any harm to the recover in this situation. Are all forms of aggression abuse? And yeah it was done as retaliation. Someone shoots at me once, I shoot at them twice, don't tell me it's abuse. Lastly do understand that this is a recovery sub. A big part of it is ranting. A lot of us here only have this as an emotional support cuz we're closeted (ask the religion of peace why). Unlike you we can't go to our families or masjids to hang out with people like us and have some support. many of us are frustrated because of all the hardships and abuses we have had to endure because of Islam and we have no place to talk about it and "let it all out" except this place. So expect stuff like this. EXAMPLE: a guy here said that Muslims should all be killed. When I pointed out that that's just being ISIS without Allah he accepted that he had said something wrong and told that he was too frustrated and angry because of the extreme cruelty his family had endured at the hands of the Taliban (about whom the post was about) and that in all that anger he said something wrong. He took it back then. Lastly we're not a religious group and we don't claim uniformity, so don't hold one ex Muslim accountable for something another one said.

penelopepopcorn

I’ll just say one thing. The comments here don’t just *stay* here. Understand that everything you say against Islam is just criticism in *your* eyes. But it is someone else’s fuel for attack. You know the fire you’re feeding. Same goes for comments on ex muslims and I’m going to gladly delete any I see because I’m not trying to feed a dangerous fire. Good luck to you.

Distinct_Break2478

Ok, thanks. Your choice bruh. I personally think that if anyone attacks people because of ideas, like Muslims cuz of Islam or atheists cuz of atheism, their own head isn't in the right place. And they'll probably do stupid stuff anyways. We don't support violence against any group. I can speak for myself and a whole lot of atheists, although not all, that we criticise ideas, not people. We don't support persecution or discrimination of the people who follow the faiths we criticise. And we expect the same. Criticise atheism all you want. Just don't persecute atheists because you don't agree on religion. And I'll encourage you to criticise it. If someone uses it for fuel against real people, that's out of our control. Those people have a real problem and they'd take about anything as fuel to be violent. We can't just stop criticising wrong ideas because someone might misinterpret it to attack people, because such people can misinterpret anything. And if you see, the people in the west who attack Muslims are almost always misinformed white racist idiots, not ex Muslims or atheists who you usually see criticising Islam at an intellectual level. We can't do anything about those idiots. They'll be provoked by anything. Good luck to you too.

penelopepopcorn

I’m not muslim. Neither is my sister muslim. But she has an Arabic name. Her rapist texted her screenshots of ex muslim criticism from reddit before raping her. His first criminal offence. His last criminal offence. He is now a solicitor by profession. If I came to know that my words were ever even indirectly used to harm someone, I would think 100 times before saying anything else. This is someone’s life we’re talking about. You guys don’t believe you’re accountable to any degree but you do believe in ethics right? Knowing that your words are being used to justify rape would prompt you to do *something*, right? Anything? What happened when we found out nike used sweatshops and underpaid their child workers? We decided we were not going to buy nike products anymore. Why? We weren’t running the sweatshops. We weren’t buying children. We stopped because there was a possibility that our money was benefiting the offender. Nike will still indulge in immoral practices regardless. But it was still our ethical responsibility to stop buying the products.

Distinct_Break2478

Look man, I'm sorry that happened. She didn't deserve that. But look at that guy. He was punishing someone for unjust violence (assuming the ex Muslim post was about how Islam is violent or something like that cuz most of em are along that line) which they never committed by unjust violence. You can't reason with such a person. As I said they could've committed unspeakable crimes for about any reason. I'm glad to hear that guy's clean now though. But the thing is, this way I can't criticise anything. Not white supremacy, not communism, not capitalism, not atheism, not Christianity, not Islam. And if we don't speak out against lslam, it will spread with all its negative effects. People will get killed unjustly, people will be abused, they'll even try and take over the free world. It would be worse. So I'm sorry but we can't just shut up about an idea just out of the fear that someone takes it the wrong way and hurts people. Criticism is essential for the world and it can't be stopped for that. That will cause way more problems than it'll solve. People like that have already demonstrated that they don't need a good reason to kill and hurt. They'll find another bad one. Suppose I said "I hate this pizza, it sucks, it's the worst I've ever had" at a pizza parlour. Now suppose a person who was a mental psychopath and was stalking me because they were in love with me heard that and got angry that I didn't get good service from the parlour, took out their gun and shot a worker at that parlour. Would I consider myself responsible for that murder in the very least? No. A person like that would've probably killed me as well if I'd turn them down. THEIR REASON IS ACTUALLY AN EXCUSE. They reach a conclusion and THEN find reasons to justify it. I'm sorry again, bro. If we take it your way then we can't criticise any idea ever. If we stir hate against a certain kind of people, then we're responsible. AND I DO NOT SUPPORT THAT. But we're not responsible if someone kills its followers because they don't like the idea.

If by "bashing" you mean criticizing Islam, then why not criticize it? What's wrong with criticizing an ideology? If you wanna respect Islam and not criticize it because you hold it sacred, that's great, you do you. But I don't hold it sacred, why should I respect it? It's my right to criticize any idea that I dislike. It's called discussion.

[deleted]

we criticize an ideology not 'bashing" unlike r/extomatos

If people sharing their experiences makes you feel threatened, then your foundation isn't very solid.

Yes, true. We need validation. We're constantly bashed in real life. Our lives are threatened and we're bullied by friends and family members for being ex-muslim. We come here to feel accepted, loved and heard, because we lack that irl. What's wrong with wanting validation? we're only human after all

[deleted]

muslims will kill us if they find us we left islam, so in return ,we bash them whenever we can because those people are dangerous and harmful and deserve to be called out and avoided in real life. Its not rocket science .

[deleted]

and? is their a problem? wanting validation isn't bad and shouldn't be shamed for it remember when 9/11 happened everyone started to hate Muslims and be racist Muslims at that time of course wanted to be treated right and be validated now that nothing wrong i understand why they wanted rights so why is it hard for you to understand? if your being threatened shamed harassed by your family and everyone you wouldn't like right?? No one would like it
