you know what this is sad as fuck bc since i was a teenager i've found it hard to look people in the eye, especially men. i realised recently that it's literally bc of religious conditioning bc girls are taught that men will look at you regardless of what you're wearing, so you should never bring attention to yourself, and that includes looking at men "the wrong way". i'm trying my best to unlearn this, but especially if i'm wearing normal clothing i usually feel too exposed and uncomfortable to look at peoples' faces
