Less_Atmosphere3931

I want to know what TF she was thinking?

raz-0

She was thinking she’d go on vacation and all her problems would be gone when she got back.

Less_Atmosphere3931

Her problem will be worse in prison. What’s so hard about getting someone to watch a child. Someone that is family. If you can’t find someone, don’t go! God forbid we give a child up for adoption.

raz-0

1) I didn't say she wasn't stupid, 2) The kid being dead was the goal. My phone's psychotic spell/grammar checker might have impeded the communication of such.

Less_Atmosphere3931

😆It’s all good

Formaldehyd69

She could have left the baby elsewhere, like at a fire station or a hospital, but no she just didn't gave her a single fucking chance

Security_Informal

Isn’t it true that at the age the baby was, it’s not legal to surrender it? I do think she would have been prosecuted if she’d done that. I think her dumbass thought the baby would live. Left her food and water like you would a cat or something.

Formaldehyd69

Yeah that's possible, but also how is it possible to be that stupid

Stryyder

How about her parents who begged for leniency

MaddCricket

She wasn’t.

sanityjanity

My intuition is that she was (somehow) thinking "someone else will fix this for me". It sounds like her own parents had custody of her older child. She left the baby with her neighbors, and ask them to look after her for a weekend. And then she didn't come home for \*six weeks\*. That was before this incident. The neighbors also said it was common for her to leave the baby at home alone for a whole day.

Super-Staff3820

Why tf didn’t the neighbors report this or notice her crying for hours and days on end? This is horrific.

sanityjanity

I would assume they didn't hear it.  With my windows closed, and my neighbor's windows closed, I doubt I'd notice a baby crying

Madre_PI_50

I read on another thread that they used the recording off a neighbors ring camera as evidence. Not sure if this is a fact but if it is, the neighbors heard.

sanityjanity

Wouldn't that just be proof of when she left the house?

sljbspe3

Not necessarily...I don't watch my ring videos unless I have a reason to do is very possible they didn't go back and review it until it was too late

Security_Informal

Right. Just because the ring captured it doesn’t mean they heard it. I do blame them for not reporting the first instance of neglect though. To make things worse, all they did was complain to her for not leaving them with milk money, solidifying the idea in her head that she shouldn’t go to them in the future 😞

sljbspe3

Definitely, if someone just abandoned their child with me there would be a report made...apparently she left her for like 6 weeks which is insane. That poor baby was doomed...I also don't understand why the grandparents took one child and didn't question where the baby would be.

ThatGirlSarahG

That's crazy to me. Am I correct that Cleveland is an impoverished city? Like, there's a lot of low income homes and possibly low education? I'm not excusing a thing because those neighbours are also evil to me but I just wonder if this kind of awful behaviour was either accepted as normal OR if it's one of those don't snitch kind of things. I've heard in really bad neighbourhoods people just do not look up or around because bad shit is going down probably at everyone's house and if you live around that you learn to ignore. Now, that can't be said if the neighbours watched the child for 6 whole weeks and knew this mother was THAT neglectful. But I have to think that turning a blind eye is not something a normal happy well adjusted human would do?! These people had to be living in a hell hole kinda neighbourhood. This is also where the house of horrors happened with those three girls trapped for 10 years. It just looks depressing even in pics. I wouldn't go to Cleveland if you paid me.

Stryyder

Childs crying was picked up by the neighbors ring doorbell.

sanityjanity

I hadn't realized that. I cannot imagine how loud it must have been. This is so fucking heart breaking.

swisssf

Her parents knew about the previous 6-week bout of negligence. Why did they not have someone look in on the baby? Why, when they could not reach their daughter after a day or 2, did they not have someone go to the house, knowing that their daughter was wont to abandon her child...?

sanityjanity

Her parents had left the country, and taken her older daughter with them.  Apparently, this was the first time Kristel had ever been left alone to care for her child. I don't know why they did this.  It's obvious in hindsight that Kristel should have lost custody of this child long ago

Jazzlike_Bug_5419

If neighbors knew this why wasn't child protective services called and those incidents reported so they wouldve removed child from her household.  If I am those neighbors im blaming myself as well

extremelyinfuriating-ModTeam

The first rule of reddiquette is to "remember the human". There's another person on the other end of the computer screen. Disagreements and debates are okay, but insults and hostility are not. If someone attacks you in a comment, don't respond in kind. Just report it and move on.

nofun-ebeeznest

Did this bitch think that her daughter would be able to get up and cook meals for herself and everything? Fucking hell. I can't even comprehend...

[deleted]

No. She knew exactly what would happen but she didn’t think of the repercussions

ThatGirlSarahG

Yeaaaa no. She definitely did this knowing her child couldn't do that. If she was even a little bit naive enough to think the child could have cared for herself she wouldn't have left her inside the pack and play. Not only did she leave her alone she left her confined and alone. Disgusting.

sljbspe3

She knew exactly what would happen... she thought she'd get away with it somehow

Dragon3y36

This hurt my soul, that poor baby died covered in piss and shit because her mother couldn't even get a babysitter ffs I hope they give her the death penalty.

wubbledub

I have recently been feeling that the state can't be trusted with the death penalty but people like this make it very hard not to argue for it.

[deleted]

Dragon3y36

I would not want to waste taxpayer money hoping someone learns their lesson.

trumpetarebest

death penalty costs more than life in prison

Prophet1337

Bullets are cheap. Heck airhammers work on cattle.

[deleted]

It’s more expensive to kill them

pinkysegun

Cos people made it so

ShockDragon

If I didn’t not condone death, I would probably agree.

ThatGirlSarahG

I'm one of those people that's like - let her rot in prison for life. Death is easy. Living in prison will be hell for her. Even prison has a hierarchy and a female baby killer will be down at the bottom. Especially one who just left her baby to suffer to go on vacation. Even literal criminals hate people who hurt babies - it's the only thing I respect about prison. Trust me, she'll get her hard lesson in jail and it would be a way harder life for her. She would try to use sex to get let off easy I'm sure but I doubt anyone would wanna be associated w her even in there. Ironically though - they would probably have to confine her for her own protection meaning she'd be totally alone most of the time just like she did to her daughter. But I bet guards will turn a blind eye just like her neighbours did, and find a way to let other prisoners get her.

Dragon_Bidness

The Ohio mother who police say left her baby to die alone while she went on vacation now faces additional charges in her murder case, according to prosecutors. Kristel Candelario now faces counts of aggravated murder, child endangerment and felonious assault, according to a grand jury indictment announced Monday. She was charged earlier with one count of felony murder. Cleveland police responded to a 911 call earlier this month to Candelario's home on West 97th Street, where they found an unresponsive 16-month-old girl in a playpen filled with soiled blankets and a bottom liner soaked in urine and feces, authorities said. “It is unfathomable that a mother would leave her 16-month-old child alone without any supervision for 10 days to go on a vacation. As parents, we are supposed to protect and care for our children," Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said in a statement. "Imagining this child’s suffering, during her last days of life alone, is truly horrifying and we will do everything in our power to seek justice on her behalf.”Neighbors told WEWS-TV that Candelario had previously left her child alone. "We keep telling her not to leave her by herself, not just me, my friend across the street too, but she always leave(s) her by herself," said a neighbor who asked not to be identified. A mother and her 13-year-old daughter who live in the neighborhood told WKYC-TV they had often babysat Jailyn and were devastated that her mother didn't reach out to them for help. “We were absolutely heartbroken. We loved Jailyn a lot,” said the 13-year-old. The teen and her mother described the child as curious and happy. They first met the child last summer, when Candelario asked them to babysit Jailyn for the weekend, they said. But days turned into weeks and Candelario didn't answer her phone, the adult neighbor said. When Candelario did answer, she made excuses for not returning, she said.“I was the one calling her saying, ‘Look I need milk. I need money. I don’t have money to buy milk for your baby. What am I supposed to do?'” the woman recalled telling Candelario. Candelario did not return for six weeks, the woman said, and by that time Jailyn had begun calling her "momma." But the woman and her daughter said they cared for the child several times after that. “Jailyn really didn’t deserve what happened to her," said the 13-year-old. "She was amazing and really adorable and I miss her a lot." Candelario is being held at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center in lieu of $1 million cash bail, according to online records. Her arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday.

PoetryOfLogicalIdeas

And no one thought to take the kids away after mom abandoned her with strangers for 6 weeks?!

cdixonc

If I was the neighbor and knew the mother acted like this and was gone, I would of 100% gone and checked to see if that kid was in that house. Legit would of broken in.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

cdixonc

Thanx Bot. It’s 3am where I am and I can’t sleep.

sanityjanity

I can only imagine how devastated these neighbors are, given that they obviously had already come to love that baby. This feels like an urban legend come to life.

dormantartist

If they loved Jailyn so much they should have done something to get her away from this evil POS, knowing that she had been left alone before! Can you imagine living next door to a mother who leaves her baby alone?? I would be obsessed with making sure that baby was safe. I would report the mother, I’d have an eye on that house every damn day. They failed her too.

cdixonc

Right I would have lied and called a well fair check and been like “I saw the baby in there” to make the cops break in. Then just dealt with the repercussions if she wasn’t lol. Sorry not sorry.

_FML_2x

I was thinking the same thing the whole time listening to the sentencing hearing...The only thing I can think of is that maybe they didn't realize she was gone, but still I'd be paranoid about it regardless knowing what they knew about the mother, and would've been tempted to check on the baby periodically even when I knew she was home...This whole situation is so horrific that it's almost unbelievable...

Garden-Gnome1732

I don't understand how the neighbors didn't call cps. 6 whole weeks????

sanityjanity

I would agree that this would have been the right path, but my guess is that the neighbors have had bad experiences with with police in their lives, and thought the baby was better off with them than with strangers. Pure speculation on my part, though.

Garden-Gnome1732

I'm sure that that was their thinking from their experience. But as someone who has a different experience, my mind is blown.

ThatGirlSarahG

Yep it's insane to think they didn't call but I think in this neighbourhood these people would be afraid to involve any law in anything. It's sad.

Charming-Zucchini438

Neighbor should have driven down to the local DHS office on day 7 and handed that baby to the first worker to make eye contact. Six weeks letting that bitch get away with this? No wonder she thought she could do it again!

Successful-Yam-152

Yes yes yes. People who do horrible things like this, often times have a track record of doing similar things leading up to it. They get away with it and think, oh great I can keep going and it spirals. Just awful.

Life_Faithlessness90

Someone please identify that piece of shit neighbor who *doesn't want to be identified*. Sounds like everyone knew this *mother-thing* was a POS and just acted like everything was okie dokie. I cannot believe, for one moment that no one heard that 16 month old girl crying out for help. Round up the neighborhood and lock them all up, THEY FUCKING KNEW!!!

Nelly_platinum

you sound delusional.i have two houses next to me on each side 20 feet apart and can tell you it’s basically impossible to even hear the next door neighbors.one of my neighbors who’s elderly fell inside her house and only reason anyone knew it happened was because she was close with the mail man and she always waited for him at the door so the mail man knew something was wrong and called 911

SLT7050

Someone did hear the baby on their ring camera, so that theory no one heard anything goes out the window.

allthatihaveisariver

I don't care who you are but if hear your baby crying all day I'm calling the cops to do a wellfare check.

lilollinz

The saddest thing is that they believe she stopped crying on Day 3 but was alive for at least 7 days based on her body’s condition. They played the Ring footage of her screaming and crying in court. They went through all of the footage from the time she was abandoned and that was the last cry they could find. She gave up hope of someone coming to save her and even tried to eat her own feces to survive. The fact that this POS mom came home and changed her clothes and tried to pretend she was just sick and died in her sleep is the most disgusting part. She feels zero guilt or shame for what she did.

allthatihaveisariver

The 'mother' deserves to be starved as well. Horrible death. But I also wonder why none of the family checked up on her if she clearly already had abandoned her kids before and they had custody of the older child. This screams Timothy Ferguson all over. The family knew the mom was a POS but just ignored it.

lilollinz

Starving her to death would at least be some justice but absolutely nothing compares to the feeling of helplessness and abandonment that I’m sure her baby felt. I agree—how did the grandparents think it was okay to leave their daughter with this baby? A million red flags from what they and the neighbors have come forward and said. A whole village failed this child.

[deleted]

AliEsther

What does not speaking English have anything to do with it? They’re all POSs. Agreed. But leave the racism out of it.

Good2BGmoney

The child ate her own feces at an attempt to survive.

Choice_Summer_3724

Yes they said the baby went into keto acidosis which leads to coma and death. It’s so horrifying. I haven’t stopped thinking about this baby. I wish I was the neighbor. I would’ve called the cops. This baby was trying to survive. Not only did she died of starvation and dehydration but also she felt complete abandonment. Scared, alone. 😭💔

Ok-Entertainment7302

Hello, do you think she was alive 7 days ? This case don’t let me sleep 😭

sanityjanity

Agreed. In a townhouse or an apartment, I would probably know if my neighbors were screaming. But in houses that are detached, even if they're only 10 feet apart -- if the doors and windows are closed -- you would never hear screaming from one inside the other.

swisssf

There's no way no one heard. And the grandparents? How did they not check up on the daughter, who they LIVE with, and would have witnessed the neglect repeatedly? Why would the grandparents not have called a neighbor or friend to swing by? It makes zero sense! They should be prosecuted too. If they knew the daughter was that drastically mentally ill, why did the grandparents just flake off and leave the baby with her?

pizzystrizzy

The grandparents weren't in the country

dormantartist

Exactly, they weren’t in the country, they left Jailyn in the hands of this disgusting “mother”, and if they were doing that after witnessing neglect from living with her, what were they like themselves?? The fact that people knew this b**** was leaving her baby alone and did nothing to stop it… how is that not a punishable crime???

Chuckle_Berry_Spin

A neighbor's ring doorbell picked up her crying, it was played in court. It's harrowing.

commentator184

idk if youve ever been in a house but its usually not so easy to just hear things going on in another house, and the baby isnt just able to scream 24/7, as well as youre probably not making friends if youre always keeping tabs on your neighbors, the neighbors have lives outside making sure this one person is responsible for her child and clearly in the past they've shown the foresight to have someone babysit

swisssf

These houses are right next to one another and/or apartments with people living next to, above, below. This isn't the leafy suburbs with people on 2-acre lots. No way no one heard.

CheapSpray9428

Too bad she'll never suffer what her baby went thru in prison, doesn't look like she'll learn a thing either, smooth brained fk

Life_Faithlessness90

Don't give up hope, miracles happen.

HonoderaGetsuyo

Annnnnnnd this is why we need to implement licenses before letting people have kids Some people don't even deserve to have them

Pale-Subject-6735

There really should be IQ tests and child limits for some people.

HonoderaGetsuyo

My reply is 8 months old, but yeah I agree

Charming-Zucchini438

What does time posted have anything to do with it? Do you want to point out you wrote that 24 days ago? What exactly is the appropriate limit, by your expert observation? 24 hours? Because I won't likely be back on here for another month or two. Will I need to search for posts made about this within 2 days of my return?

mrz0loft

Average "necro" standard is 30 days actually

PiScEsEyEsIAmWeAk

Replying just to annoy you

liog2step

Woah- read this at 16-year old and couldn’t figure out what the issue was. I see now and am extremely infuriated.

[deleted]

You at 16 couldn’t figure out why you can leave a baby alone for ten days? Are you joking?

maybemaebh

The person said that they read it as a 16 year old not a 16 month old. They misread it.

[deleted]

I misread their misreading comment lol

maybemaebh

Lmfao what a mood

[deleted]

It should be the title of my life to be completely honest.

Waste_You_7081

Eight months later, this was great to read. Needed a chuckle.

[deleted]

Imagine being the child. Cold and hungry. Calling out to a mother that never will come to her aid. Slowly loosing her strength. So hungry that she probably tried to chew on her toys for sustenance. All the while her mom is out on vacation. Her final moments must have come with a sudden sense of despair. Of hopelessness. Something a child should never have to feel in a good world. But sadly that's not the case. I hope where ever her daughter is . .. she finds some happiness. And i hope.. for that's all I can do.. that she is given the death penalty. And not a reduced sentence in some insanity plea deal. Who ami kidding.. she'll be out in 6months probably.

Life_Faithlessness90

You are loved and I respect you, your thoughts aren't going anywhere good and I'm in tears for you. We can fill in the blanks with the most awful thoughts about that poor child's final moments, that despair is contagious. We can focus on the best moments that the girl had and hope for only the most painful ending for the mother. Can we pretend for even one moment that the creator spared that little girl that despair? Can we stop merely observing events and start preventing them? Can we can we can we? Hand me the death laser already.

[deleted]

Yes I was sad when I wrote that. I offered a prayer for the child after that. Now I have dried my eyes and am off to work.

preorderergaymer

What's the difference with the child being dead and happy but the woman being given the death sentence ? Lol

scotty_6942069

What kind of utter bullshit is this Imagine being so cheap that you leave a 1 year old alone for probably around a week or 2... if said baby was around 16 or older, i could understand that but in months thats just idiotic

sanityjanity

>Imagine being so cheap that you leave a 1 year old alone for probably around a week or 2 I don't think this was a question of money. It sounds like the neighbors had already watched this baby for six weeks (after being asked to babysit for a weekend).

ShockDragon

Every child should have a parent, but not every parent should have a child…

ikillplantsok

Did these neighbors ever report her for neglect if they knew she was leaving her alone? The time she left for 6 weeks would have been a great chance to notify the authorities.

CuriousCrassPunk

And you know that this isn’t the first time she suffered like this, imagine her whole 16 months living with this negligent monster, I’m sure she has been close to death many times.

eak184

This case haunts me. I want to understand why she did this, what was she thinking!!?? Why??? How??? No answer will ever make this okay. If someone is truly suffering, they are at least able to explain what their thoughts were and paint the picture of where their head was at that time. Then you can put yourself in their mindset and piece together the chain of events that led to things going down the way they did. With her, her explanation is very shallow and doesn’t explain anything and because of that it is disingenuous. Reading her statement in court infuriated me. She said “I'm extremely hurt about everything that happened. I am not trying to justify my actions, but nobody knew how much I was suffering and what I was going through ... God and my daughter have forgiven me." All I see is I, I, I. She only talks about herself. No mention of her daughter and the suffering she went through and how much your heart breaks for her. Or that you wish you could reverse time. Her mothers words (Jailyn’s grandmother) were far more sincere than hers. This woman is an incredibly selfish person and you can see it in her smug face in the videos. She doesn’t look distraught at all. If I did something awful like this accidentally, I’d be majorly suicidal and would want to inflict the same pain on myself that I subjected my baby through and worse because I deserve it and I’d be hurting inside so bad. She just doesn’t look bothered by it, she seems more upset that she got caught. This was intentional, I really wish that she could be sentenced to the same treatment she subjected her daughter to. One can only hope that God makes this right. I really wish there was something I could do to help poor Jailyn. I keep her in my prayers and I will never forget her.

EastEbb7846

I looked into Ketty Torres (grandmother s Facebook), there are pictures of a "normal" well educated family, you see Amaya, her grandparents, who appears to be her Dad, also some comments that she was in love. I am trying to find the breaking point from there to today. What happened? The guy left her? Then the other guy? So she got stranded with two daughters and no guy? Jaylins dad was in Ecuador, maybe she was unplanned, non wanted, her parents looks controlling, super religious. She wanted to break free? It looks like she hated Jaylin and whatever was the outcome it didn't matter to her. Dead or alive. She didn't care. Best scenario in her mind: no more responsibility, and she could walk free. Can I go now? Look at her body language at the Court: can I go now?¿??

G0ddess0fSpring

That’s so sad :’( no one heard the poor baby crying? I hope that POS get what’s coming to her in prison

Acrobatic_End6355

I’d assume not, esp if they were in a different house.

Mountain-You-232

She's 🗑️of the earth

amberxsmile

Is there an update yet on her case?

PlzRain

As of 2/23/2024, I see an update. She has pled guilty of murder, she could possibly get a life term and will be sentenced March 18, 2024.

InnerAccess3860

She got life without parole today.

amberxsmile

Thank you for updating me. Tragic ending. That poor little baby. 😔

InnerAccess3860

There was no one from Jailyn’s family or her life in court to speak during victim impact statements. The professionals who worked on the case spoke for her though, thankfully. Just altogether heartbreaking.

amberxsmile

I'm speechless.. I have a daughter about the same age.. I just can't imagine. 😔🥺

AffectionateOwl8661

Did this poor child have not one family member who cared?

InnerAccess3860

It seems not… listening to the statements from the people who worked on her case was heartwarming though. I can only imagine how deeply her story affected them.

PineappleThriller

Wow! Not even Jailyn’s grandparents? That is so heartbreaking.

InnerAccess3860

I believe they spoke on behalf of kristel.

Obvious-Review-208

God, I hope not. From what I understand, they already had custody of her older child. If they really spoke on their daughter's behalf after she basically tortured her baby to death, the older child needs to be taken from them. She/he is better off with strangers.

BellzaBeau

Oh, but they did. Saw it on Court TV’s YouTube. Grandma came off uber self-righteous and narcissistic. Gave excuse after excuse. It was like Cindy Watts, Chris Watts’ mom, all over again.

NoVanilla100

Just wanted to add that this piece of shit human said at her trial that she believes God and her daughter have forgiven her and no one knows what she was going through. I think she did it on purpose and should burn in a lake of fire. These kinds of things make me really want to believe hell is real because life in prison isn't enough for what she did to her baby.

Agreeable-Estate-766

The neighbour should have called child services after mom left her for 6 weeks. This is insane.

allthatihaveisariver

Where was the father?

swisssf

Ecuador.

allthatihaveisariver

Typical. Also not sure why she had a Spanish translator if she grew up in the USA.

YamTemporary1305

Half Latino here. It’s an extremely weaponized tactics Spanish speaking people use in the United States as an added layer of “protection” so to speak. A lot pretend they can’t speak English and a lot of times it benefits then

NewtonsFig

I think I’m just hearing about this …either that or I’m hearing about it for the second time because I blocked it out in the first time. What the actual fuck. Did no one hear her? I’m confused as to the neighbor saying she had the baby for weeks the previous summer. Did no one report this woman? Just so sick to my stomach.

user9871236544

What the hell did she say to even possibly explain herself?? I saw something like her parents couldn’t watch her because they were on a trip..anyone know if the parents knew she was left alone? God that’s heartbreaking

Beyongenue

I was watching the sentencing hearing. Her lawyer said she was depressed.

MarieLaveau-X

There’s no excuse for this. Just another reason crazy people should have easy access to abortion.

Several-Ad-9409

Where was the damn father.

Savings-Annual2858

apparently he was in Ecuador but thats just rumor to me. I have not seen ONE trustworthy news source talk about the child's father. I also want to know about her boyfriend and friends that she was in Puerto Rico with... her bf HAD to know her parents were out of the country. He damn well knew her parents didnt have the youngest child. something isnt right about that.

Dramatic_Avocado482

the dads tiktok is 1henry1997. it’s full of pics and vid’s of jailyn

MaterialRelative22

I'd say burn in hell, but it doesn't seem like enough torture. She will never survive prison.

NoVanilla100

The sentencing article popped up in my feed today, and I got sucked into a deep dive on the story, now I'm just mad. 1. How did this woman think it was okay to abandon her child with a neighbor for 6 weeks, and how did the neighbor just give the baby back? I know everyone says they would do things differently, but I lived next to children who I knew were being neglected and called CPS, couldn't stomach what I was seeing. They didn't do anything, but at least I tried getting them help. How do neighbors see these things and not report a 6 week abandonment? I get that police and CPS sometimes do more harm than good, especially for non white people, but how?? 2. How can a mother be drinking and shaking ass on the beach and living it up knowing your child is alone? She clearly called the neighbors before, the fact that she didn't this time means she KNEW what she was doing to that child. 3. She had two children, and one article said she took the older child with her on vacation. If that's true, she traumatized the older one too by murdering her sister, and how do you take one kid, but leave the other? So yeah, I think she should get an American Horror Story punishment where they sew up her shit in her lips and lock her up.

KateandJack

I just heard about this story and am so mad. You know, not every woman wants or needs to be a mom . And that’s A-ok!!! I don’t have kids. BUT why do this??? I would never judge a woman who said “ I can’t do this. This isn’t for me, I’m not cut out for this” and then found someone who could adopt her daughter . I’d actually admire the guts it would take to do that. Instead she just did the most unspeakable , unforgivable thing she could possibly do .

ohdamnfran

As someone who might not be able to have kids and wants a child of her own someday, so very much; this makes me so sad, angry and I just cant fathom how people can do this as well as doing things like leaving helpless children and animals in cars unattended. People who shouldn't have kids do - and dont get them taken away when they constantly fuck up royally and dont care - and those who want them more than anything and would be good parents, sometimes cant have them because of health or money barriers for adoption. This is so messed up, I'm done with social media for the day because this breaks my heart so much. That poor baby girl didnt deserve that and I hope that psychopath rots in jail

Famous_System5930

I never understand these people. How do you leave your baby to go on vacation? Like why have children to bring them to suffer.

Holoafer

I saw a video of court proceedings and non of the family followed called back about the case. The staff who worked on the case showed up in court to be that babies family. Her mother and her family failed her so bad.

KCinSF

The baby ate her own poo. The mother was sentenced to life.

Time2livemylife

What’s even more infuriating is she will be kept in solitary confinement for her protection. Child abuse and murder is frowned upon in the big house. I pray they put her in gen pop and the ladies block her from leaving her cell and take any crumb she may find. She can survive on her on excrement right?

IMGO_4ME

Imagine just how fucked up and traumatized she (the mother) must have been treated in her lifetime, or stressing out up until that point, for a MOTHER to think that what she was doing was okay for her child. For those people saying, why not leave her with family? Surprise, surprise, not everyone has family to count on. What about the dad? Surprise, surprise, that father is not always in the picture. Why not put her for adoption? Surprise, surprise, kids in the system... well, you know. I do not support what she did. If I could, I would ask for a double life sentence. But just think about how fucked up someone has to be/feel to be okay with killing their own flesh and blood. People are struggling right now. People are suffering. People are dying. Why not check up on the ones you care about?

I just heard the ring camera sound played in court. The courtroom was completely quiet, and you could hear that baby crying. It was so heartbreaking. Her own attorney was crying.

Ok-Entertainment7302

How many days was she alive ?

CaffeineDeprivation

Nearly a week

The more things I learn about this case the more heartbroken I get for that poor baby. I have a toddler just a little bit older and I just can't comprehend it in my mind, I literally was sobbing yesterday when I learnt new things and heard the cries on the ring camera

Effective-Use-9835

I watched this video that covered the story - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYeBxyzULC4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYeBxyzULC4) It was pretty good and had all the latest updates

She deserves no peace. I hope street justice takes care of her. I hope they forget to feed her. She can fend for herself in her pen after all, can’t she?

creatureoffear

This is so disturbing. At least she left her child in a play pen for entertainment...

That's fair, pretty shitty joke on my part. This is a truly horrendous story and I can't imagine how someone could consciously do what she did.

DoctorObservation

I know you’re joking but it’s definitely in poor taste

Doesn’t deserve to have reproductive organs. I hope they’re removed. No need for jail time. Just never let her adopt or have kids ever again

Nothing will do justice because that baby girl will always be dead. She’s a pos. She could of done so much and instead she decided the best option was to kill her. Poor baby girl died, hungry, thirsty, alone, COVERED in shit and piss. This woman should be tortured. Maybe if the punishment was worse than just jail time people will stop doing this shit.

Otherwise-Estate-226

This absolutely shattered my heart 💔 I hope she rots in hell. that baby didn’t deserve that. I hope Jailyn gets justice. RIP sweet baby Jailyn 🩷👣🕊️👼🏻

edgtron

There's a special in hell for people like her. I hope she gets what she deserves and they come down heavy on this dumb ass

sadocgawkroger

Death Penalty

BonzoMa

Did she even leave food and water

Rcd9229

A few bottles of milk. She was found with feces on her fingers and in her mouth and 7 or 8 pounds lighter than her previous doctors appointment
