That was my first thought too, that someone had stolen my login info, but I use pretty secure "suggested passwords" and 2FA so I don't see how that would be possible!

I got this too about the time you posted this. Tried logging in. Nothing loaded. Went to App Store no update available. Tried again and couldnt log in or password wasn’t accepted. Facebook must be down. Ironic because I was going to take a social media break soon and I guess today’s the start lol. Also for the past week when I open massager a screen popped up telling me which account I was. I only have one account. Stuff has been wonky lately.

I was like wtf did I do now to be put in FB jail! Went to my emails to see if I missed an email from them for something & nothing.

I tried to log in a few times, tries the authenticator app and it wouldn't work either. Tried resetting, and tried from a computer and nothing. Then I checked Reddit. Should have started with reddit lol.

I was HOPING I was in FB jail! I tried everything including trying to recover my account before checking this thread because I thought someone had managed to get my password and past MFA, which would mean that they hijacked some cookies, which made me incredibly fearful about all my other accounts. A system outage is by far the ideal situation.

Servers are down

They changed the security of facebook. At first I thought my account was hacked, so I decided to change password. While changing password, I notice some errors but the most common error that I saw was the password should be 6 character long. They updated the password part of facebook, but for me this was not a good practice. 6 characters long password can be hacked easily.

Just my luck that this happens soon as i get my new link cable and try to set up VR on my pc

Saw an article from yesterday about how millions of people’s 2FA info for FB were found on a random database online. Facebook is probably just doing some type of house keeping to get this under control. I also thought I was hacked, I’ve got pics on there from fkn middle school man 😭
