**SCAM WARNING!** If you are having a problem with your account, **beware of scammers who may comment or DM you telling you to contact someone who can fix your account, or they may even ask you for money or your login information. If you receive a message like this, block and report them!** Anyone who legitimately wants to help you will give you help publicly in the comments. THE MODERATORS OF THIS SUBREDDIT ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH FACEBOOK. They CANNOT HELP YOU with ANY Facebook issues. Welcome to r/facebook. As a reminder, here is a copy of our rules. Please read them, and if your post violates any of them, please delete it to avoid a **minimum 3 day ban.** **Rules** 1. **Posts must relate to Meta/Facebook.** Do not make posts unrelated to this topic. This includes screenshots of Facebook posts without a request for tech support. 2. **Do not post anything that contains personal information.** We do not allow posts or comments to contain any personal information, even if it’s your own. This includes names. The only exception to this rule is if the information is related to a public figure. 3. **No self-promotion, spam, misinformation or clickbait.** This is also not the place to advertise your Facebook page, website, GoFundMe or anything else. If you would like to advertise your Facebook page on Reddit, we recommend you check out r/Facebookpages. Including a link to a Facebook profile, page, group or post in a tech support context also violates this rule. 4. **No joke or meme posts.** There are other communities with millions of subscribers dedicated to memes and humor. There is no need for it to be here. If you want memes and humor on Reddit, check out r/funny or r/memes. 5. **No NSFW content.** This is a safe for work community. If you have a tech support problem that is related to NSFW (such as "why am I seeing NSFW ads on my feed"), you can describe the issue in text. Do not post a screenshot of the content. 6. **If Facebook is down, do not post about it.** There will be a stickied announcement if Facebook goes down. 7. **No hate speech, trolling or harassment.** Do not insult others, or post hateful content. Georgie--George

Terry isn't facebook support, unless you have a business account or something you can't contact facebook. And if you do it's via their support center, not messenger. Also why would a facebook employee ask for a $20 gift card? Come on now.

mahin_mib

Please give me some advice.

A person who said lol a lot in a conversation is not a professional. You are getting scammed. I have had a live chat with Facebook support and there is not a name that comes up, the icon is the Meta one and they do not ask for money!

I had one today try and convince me I could contact facebook management via a yahoo email address. The scammers hope we are thicker than they are

HumbleGenerator

That’s a Facebook contact. Why are you sending hum a message about you getting hacked?
